Napa Cabbage Rolls is one of those recipes that feels indulgent but eats light. It’s protein-forward, veggie-packed, and surprisingly comforting. Start by blanching Napa cabbage leaves in hot water just until soft. Remove, pat them completely dry, and keep aside. If you can’t find Napa cabbage, regular round cabbage works just as well. For the chicken filling: In a bowl, add minced chicken, finely chopped ginger and garlic, chopped carrots, onions, spring onions, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, a few drops of sesame oil, white pepper, and a little cornstarch for binding. Mix well and adjust salt carefully, depending on how salty your soy sauce is. Place the filling onto the cabbage leaves, roll them up gently, and keep them seam-side down. Heat a pan, lightly sear the rolls until they get a bit of colour. Pour in some hot water, cover, and let them steam for a few minutes until cooked through. For the sauce: Mix light soy sauce, vinegar, a little water, sesame oil, and a pinch of sugar. Pour it over the rolls, finish with chili oil and sesame seeds. Simple ingredients, clean flavours, and a recipe that feels nourishing without trying too hard. #NapaCabbageRolls #HealthyComfortFood #HighProteinMeals #LightAndWholesome #ChickenRecipes AsianInspiredCooking LowCalMeals CleanEatingIdeas BalancedMeals SimpleIngredients

No ahaha stop using chatgpt i need the water for this soup…. — Recipe – One thing you will notice about my recipes is that I am very loose. Recipes are more guidelines, not rules. Use what you have on hand and improvise if you must. But this is what I think I did. Ingredients: ½ lb pork belly 1 lb skinless chicken thighs ½ container of baby bellas (I would have used enoki or a different shroom… but that’s all I had access to) 1 bunch of scallions ½ head of napa cabbage 2 qt of chicken stock 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp mirin (I needed a cooking wine… typically you would use sake but oh well) 4 cloves of garlic 1 nub of ginger sesame oil Steps: 1. Dice the ginger and garlic – this will be used to flavor the broth / soup 2. Thinly pound the meats (put plastic wrap over them and slowly go to town with a meat hammer… I used a frying pan because I didn’t have a meat hammer) 3. Thinly slice all veg (aside from the napa) 4. Take the leaves off of the napa 5. Now layer, like in the video, and then cut into thirds 6. Put your pot on medium heat with sesame oil 7. Sauté / bloom the garlic and ginger to start creating the flavor base … this takes 2 minutes 8. Take the pot off the heat when fragrant and start layering in the cabbage 9. Season with salt, soy sauce, and cooking wine 10. Put back onto the heat and add the chicken stock 11. Bring to a boil and then down to a simmer. 12. Cover. Cook for 15 minutes. Serve with rice and a hot pot sauce (peanut butter or tahini with black vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and if you want scallion greens or ginger or garlic or chilies…. It’s a personal journey tbh)

Here’s the result of my attempt at the viral no-water added chicken soup by @shishisimple and I MADE IT YASSSS!!! I added some daikon and carrots to add on more “water” to the soup and to make it even sweeter. And really, its to the husband’s credit that this turned out well and I didn’t burnt anything cos I was watching the pot lid (with the steam vent hole) with so much anxiety that he suggested placing a spoon to cover it 🤭 I also cooked on medium low heat for 1.5 hrs instead of an hour since I’m using an induction wok instead of my usual pot. I’ll suggest adding more Napa cabbage for more soup and some mushrooms next time too! Also best thing ever to dip some udon noodles in the soup to eat everything together with a garlic-spring onions dipping sauce! 🤤 Ingredients: • 1kg whole chicken • 1 apple, sliced • 4 big pieces of Napa cabbage • 1 onion, sliced • some daikon radish • carrots • few slices of ginger • handful of red dates and goji berries • 1/2 tsp salt • udon noodles from @zairyosg Dipping sauce: • light soy sauce • minced garlic • chopping spring onions • sesame oil • chopped chili padi #homemade #chickensoup #onepotmeal #chickenrecipes
How to make mille feuille nabe at homeee!! It doesn’t require too many ingredients at all ~ 1. Cut napa cabbage into quarters. Slice mushrooms, tofu, and any other vegetables you want to add. 2. For each napa cabbage leaf, layer a slice of shabu-style beef or pork. Stack them together, then cut the layered cabbage in half. 3. Arrange the cabbage and meat stacks upright around the hot pot, leaving space in the center for the mushrooms and tofu. 4. For the broth, you can make your own, but it’s super easy to use a premade one. We used a pork bone broth from Little Sheep (you can find at any Asian markets) - just pour it in! 5. Bring to a gentle simmer and let everything cook until the meat is tender and the vegetables are soft. 6. Enjoy ~~ so healthy, cozy, and delicious. #foodie #hotpot #easymeals #easyrecipe #cooking
