Growing old should not mean a decline in function. It shouldn’t mean tight muscles, stiff joints, or a slow drift toward immobility. We don’t stop moving because we grow old. We grow old because we stop moving. A lot of what we blame on “age” is really just the result of joints that haven’t been taken through their full ranges in years. When we stop squatting, rotating, reaching, and getting down to the floor, the body slowly forgets those abilities. Foundation work in PRML is about reclaiming that freedom of movement. The same freedom we had as kids — when getting up, down, twisting, running, and playing felt natural. Five to fifteen minutes of daily mobility reminds the joints what they’re capable of. And when the joints move well, the body feels younger, stronger, and far more capable. Aging shouldn’t mean decline. It should mean maintaining the freedom to move. Train for life, not the gym. #PRMLMethod #GiveAnF #AgingWell #FreedomOfMovement #TrainForLife
OVER 40 Mobility Flow 🌊 If you want to stay moving well for a lifetime, it’s all about creating physical harmony. Striking a balance between strength and mobility is KEY. An all-too-common mistake is specializing in one or the other…and around 40 is when those imbalances really start to show. Typically, most people don’t give mobility the attention it deserves for a variety of reasons. But the reality is that mobility is more important than just sprinkling in a few joint exercises on rest days. Your body deserves some of this movement goodness every day. A session dedicated to giving back so your body can keep performing for you. Over here at Strength + Flow we keep it simple… Keep your hips, spine, and shoulders healthy with daily organic, mindful movement. Click the link in my bio for resources to learn more. Most people don’t train through their full range of motion. Look at a lot of conventional training - squats stopping around 90 degrees, presses that never quite reach end range. We end up getting strong in partial ranges… and neglecting the rest. But if we don’t use a range, we lose strength in that range. That’s where PRML Flow comes in. Flow takes your joints through full ranges of motion in every plane - forward, back, side to side, and rotation - building strength, control, and resilience across the entire system. Not just where it’s comfortable, but where it actually matters. Because life doesn’t happen in neat, controlled reps. It happens in awkward positions, deep ranges, and constant movement. Playing with kids, moving through space, reacting, reaching, rotating. Train your full range, and your body stays capable. Train for life, not the gym. #PRMLMethod #StrengthInMotion #FullRangeStrength #FunctionalFitness #TrainForLife

Evolve your habits in movement, nutrition, sleep, and stress management. ✅Move naturally ✅Fuel your body with intention ✅Ditch ultra-processed foods & limit alcohol ✅Build a sleep routine ✅Invest in therapy & community F*ck being perfect. One side stays heavy so the other side can move without the back taking over. That matters because a lot of stiffness is really a coordination problem, not a flexibility problem. When the trunk can stay organized while a leg lifts and the arms travel overhead, motion stops leaking into places that were never meant to do the job. The lower back doesn’t need to create movement. The hips don’t need to fake stability. The ribs don’t need to lock down just to make the task feel safe. This is what better movement often looks like in real life: an anchor, a moving limb, and a trunk that doesn’t panic. The visible action is simple: one leg presses down and holds the other leg lifts and lowers the arms move overhead with load But the return is bigger than the drill: • cleaner force transfer from ground to trunk • easier overhead motion without extra spinal extension • better separation between hip movement and back movement • less “global tension” doing the job of missing coordination For the longevity-minded person, that’s the real asset. Not more movement for its own sake. Better routing of movement. Less wear from motion going to the wrong place. 🧠 #missiontohealth #📂signal #longevitytraining #movementquality Why would I pin one side down while the other leg and both arms move? A controlled floor drill where one leg quietly anchors your trunk while the other leg and both arms move under load. The point is not the exercise itself — it’s teaching the body to keep the pelvis and ribcage organized while motion happens elsewhere, which is exactly what makes walking, lifting, and training feel cleaner later.
Your body loves simple patterns. This 2-move mobility flow restores space in the hips, length in the hamstrings, and freedom in the spine. A few slow reps and suddenly the body moves like well-oiled hinges instead of rusty door joints. Small daily mobility work = big longevity dividends. 🔁 Hashtags #mobilitytraining #functionalfitness #movementismedicine #longevityfitness #dailymobility
Daily life uses maybe 10% of your range. Sitting. Driving. Walking straight lines. Then people wonder why their hips feel tight. Your body was built for far more movement than modern life ever asks for. The prone pancake restores hinge depth, opens the adductors, and helps reclaim ranges daily life never touches. Train the ranges life ignores. #FitOver50 #FunctionalTraining #MobilityTraining #TrainWithPurpose #LongevityStrength

Use it or lose it. I’m not a mobility coach — I’m just a student of looking after my body. After all, we only get one. I wish I’d paid more attention to mobility earlier. Now I make it non-negotiable… and I tell my kids the same. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be done. A few basic moves. A few minutes. Big return. Consistency is the goal. Movement is medicine. #movementismedicine #mobilitytraining #functionalfitness #longevity #fitover40
Your body adapts to whatever you do most. If all you do is sit, walk, and lift in straight lines, that becomes your limit. Movement is a skill. It needs to be practiced. I’m not training like this to impress people online. Look I’m 40 years old I’m past my athletic prime. I’m training so my world keeps expanding, not shrinking.
