THE LINE – ARÁBIA SAUDITA. DESCRIÇÃO: The Line é um megaprojeto urbano anunciado pela Arábia Saudita como parte do plano estratégico Vision 2030. A proposta prevê uma cidade linear com cerca de 170 quilômetros de extensão, aproximadamente 200 metros de largura e até 500 metros de altura, composta por duas estruturas paralelas espelhadas formando um corredor urbano contínuo. O projeto integra o desenvolvimento da região de NEOM, uma zona econômica voltada para tecnologia, inovação e sustentabilidade. A cidade foi concebida para não ter ruas nem carros, com transporte público de alta velocidade permitindo atravessar toda sua extensão em cerca de 20 minutos. O modelo urbano prioriza energia renovável, uso intensivo de inteligência artificial e organização vertical, onde moradia, trabalho e lazer ficam concentrados em curtas distâncias. Em relação ao andamento das obras, a construção foi iniciada com terraplenagem em larga escala, fundações profundas e implantação de infraestrutura básica no deserto da região de Tabuk. Até o momento, apenas um trecho inicial de poucos quilômetros está em fase estrutural mais avançada, funcionando como etapa piloto do projeto. O cronograma original foi revisado, e a conclusão total, antes prevista para 2030, passou a ser considerada um objetivo de longo prazo, possivelmente se estendendo pelas próximas décadas.
