He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57 ⠀ The Nexbie Aeroraise is one of the most unique shoes I’ve ever held in my hands. The entire thing — upper, midsole, outsole — is one single piece of 3D-printed ELSTO 1000 polymer. Breathable, washable, water-friendly, and built with a hollow lattice structure that gives it that futuristic look nobody else is doing right now. The 3D-printed structural cushioning is comfortable for casual wear, the arch-support geometry is built into the print itself, and the dust resistance was surprisingly strong at 9/10. ⠀ Now the basketball test. The traction? Elite. The outsole gripped. But here’s the honest truth — the fit is roomy and casual, the support structure is not there for lateral cuts, and the lockdown you need on a real court just doesn’t exist in a one-piece 3D-printed build. The traction is doing its job. The rest of the shoe is living its best casual life and not apologizing for it. 😂 ⠀ On sale right now at $159 — which is where this makes a lot more sense. At full retail of $270 it’s a harder sell. As a futuristic daily shoe that happens to grip a court?
