We got ghosted by a client…
Not because our content didn’t work.
But because of the way we built it.
Here’s what our strategy actually looked like behind the scenes:
Step 1: We didn’t chase everyone — we targeted buyers
Every piece of content was niched.
Not broad, not viral for the sake of it.
It spoke directly to people ready to buy.
Step 2: We kept the visuals clean + branded
This wasn’t random TikTok content.
It looked like them.
Consistent style, consistent feel — so every post built brand recognition.
Step 3: We batched and built volume
One shoot = multiple pieces of content.
So we weren’t guessing… we were increasing surface area to win.
Step 4: We distributed the SAME content everywhere
No overthinking.
Just take what works and put it on:
TikTok
Instagram
YouTube
LinkedIn
Twitter
More platforms = more chances for the right person to see it.
The right people started seeing it
Not just views…
Actual potential buyers.
Content turned into inbound
DMs. Enquiries. Real interest.
It compounded fast
It doesn’t grow slowly because once it starts working…
It stacks.
The business wasn’t ready for that level of demand
And that’s when things changed.
The takeaway?
If your content is:
- Branded properly
- Speaking to the right people
- Distributed consistently
It won’t just grow your page.
It’ll grow your business.
And if you’re not ready for that…
It’ll expose it.
Would you even watch your own content? Be honest.
If it’s not teaching something or entertaining someone, it’s basically background noise… and nobody sticks around for that.
I never niched down, and guess what… I survived.
I picked the name Shinehead2toe because my content is a whole mixed bag, like a purse with snacks, lip gloss, and a random toy at the bottom.
I take people on journeys. I switch it up. I keep it moving.
Because boring content gets scrolled past faster than a “live, laugh, love” sign at Target.
It’s no secret. People are always watching #vlogger #videodiary #contentcreatortips
Niched episode one is officially live!! 🥳🔥
This week, Matt sits down for a chat with Leah Harris, the Executive Producer of Podcasts @spotifyaunz. They dive deep into the podcasting world, covering everything you’ve been curious about. Leah’s got an impressive track record, having worked on some of Australia’s hottest podcasts.
She’s here to tackle some of the common podcasting questions: Should you actually start one? What’s the very first step? And how can you give your podcast the best shot at hitting it big?
You can listen now wherever you stream your podcasts!! (but we HIGHLY recommend Spotify 😉)

Don’t tell me “my niche can’t go viral” when this strategy exists…
The brilliance of this is that he’s staying “niched-down” while reaching a WAY bigger audience than he would have reached with regular content.
Here are some niche-specific examples that you can use:
Coffee Shop: “Lattes that would be each Harry Potter character’s ‘usual’”
Interior Designer: “How I’d design the bedroom of each character from Bridgerton”
Therapist: “Diagnosing the attachment type of every Game of Thrones character”
Personal Chef: “Meals I’d cook for each Shrek character”
Makeup Artist: “Makeup looks inspired by The Hunger Games characters”
Personal Trainer: “How to train like characters from Naruto”
Luxury Travel Advisor: “Hotels each White Lotus character would book”
Any niche I’ve left out?

# 4 WILL SURPRISE YOU…👇👀

📆 1. Create a routine:
The secret to consistency & making social media take less of your time & bring you more results.
🎯 2. Niche down even more:
The last few months I tried something new... I niched down even further from doing music production tutorials to focusing on my biggest strength: social media tips for music artists. The results = I’m growing 500%+ faster.
🧬 3. Optimize your profile & posts:
The same post could get 1-100X+ more engagement depending on the way it’s edited, which audio you use, how you write the caption, if it has the right hook, etc.
👥 4. Post for new followers, not existing followers:
If your goal is to get more followers, make your posts for new people who don’t already know you.
🥸 5. Don’t fake it till you make it:
Don’t stress about trying to “look professional” in your posts.
🧭 6. Create a funnel:
Funnel = the journey your potential follower goes on.
👍 7. Haters mean you’re doing something right:
When people hate, it’s a sign your post is performing well & reaching new people.

…that positioning is the only thing that makes selling easy.
Most coaches try to sell harder. Better scripts, more DMs, longer follow-ups. But none of that matters if people can’t instantly understand why YOU and not the 10,000 other coaches in their feed. When I niched down and made my offer so specific that the right person felt like I was reading their mind. Everything changed.
But here’s what nobody talks about: Positioning without messaging is useless. You can have the perfect niche and still sound like everyone else. Your messaging is HOW you communicate that positioning. It’s the words on your page, the captions, the way you talk about your client’s problem better than THEY can. When your messaging hits, people don’t just follow you… they screenshot your posts and send them to friends saying ‘this is exactly what I needed.’ That’s when content stops being content and starts being a sales tool.
And once your positioning and messaging are dialed? You flip the entire game. You stop chasing… you start attracting. That’s pull marketing. Instead of cold DMing 50 strangers a day hoping someone bites, you lead with so much value that the RIGHT people come to YOU. Free content that actually solves a real problem. Posts that make someone think ‘if this is what he gives away for free, what does the paid stuff look like?’ You become the obvious choice before they ever hit your DMs. That’s how you build a business that doesn’t burn you out, because you’re not pushing a boulder uphill every day. The content does the selling. The DMs become easy. And the people showing up are already pre-sold.
Comment NASHVILLE if you’re ready to stop being ignorable. And let us build your strategy… TOGETHER.
Most creators are trapped talking to the same 300 people because they’ve niched themselves into a corner—but virality isn’t about luck, it’s about designing content that reaches beyond your existing followers and actually gets seen.
the HONEST truth about why you aren’t growing: part 1 !!!! 🤍 we need to be able to diagnose what’s “missing” from your page so that you’re able to *actually* see the growth you deserve 📢
but note: this video is not for people who just started posting !!! this video is for those of you who have been doing this- consistently- for a while & genuinely need help! if that’s you: lmk below so I can help as much as possible 🙏🏻
Comment “ARCHITECT.”
If you’re a creative struggling to make more than $10K a year from your art, this is the 3-step framework that took me from broke to consistent $10K–$20K months.
1. People.
Stop trying to serve everyone. When I niched down and focused on a specific audience, I stopped competing on price and started setting it. Clarity attracts buyers.
2. Product.
Art alone isn’t the business. The business is solving a real problem. I saw a gap for faith-based manga and built around that need. When you solve something specific, sales stop feeling forced.
3. Presentation.
It’s not just what you sell it’s how you package it. Stack value. Add bonuses. Create urgency. Make the offer clear and compelling. People buy when the decision feels obvious.
This is the exact framework I used to move from random commissions to structured, predictable income.
If you want to build your creative business the right way, comment “ARCHITECT” and I’ll send the details.
