Certainly a hard video to watch seeing Jane in this state, but we think the beauty of this video, the depth, sits in the fact Jane just continued to sing through her storms. Not only singing, She continued to write and document her journey in the storms. Art that is so powerfully painful and beautiful at the same time it finds parts of ourselves that need healing, and starts the healing process. • “No matter how it ends, I’ll remember where it began. I don’t know where we’ll end up, but I need to know it meant something to us, it meant something to us” • Jane carried her faith with her to the very end. A few weeks before she passed she made a video that said “God told me it’s not about me, my story is for other people” , little did she know how monumental her story would be for millions of people across the planet. We are so honored you all are taking Jane’s story, her legacy, her art and her words and ensuring it lives on through you all. Thank you! “Waking up and trying is so hard, it’s the bravest thing ever.” This is a beautiful memory of Jane that she filmed showing that although you all saw such a brave side of her, she also had times where she was fully human, and lived the human experience of worry and being overwhelmed. But she showed you all these sides of her so you would know her struggles, while also knowing her faith in God. Her questions didn’t stop because she had faith, she struggled AND she had faith. She was sad, mad, overwhelmed and happy all at the same time. It was a song, if you didn’t know it, you would think Jane wrote it herself. • On the two year anniversary of Jane’s passing this year, 2/19/24, we felt it was only right to give you all this song in a way only Nightbirde could’ve pulled off.
