I couldn’t wait until 20 weeks to find out my baby’s gender… 🤍 In Canada, through the healthcare system, we would only find out our baby’s gender at the 20-week ultrasound. And honestly… that felt like forever. So I started researching and discovered that in Brazil, it’s actually very common to do a blood test as early as 7 weeks of pregnancy. It’s even considered very accurate, and you don’t have to wait for the ultrasound. Even there, it’s usually a paid test (since it’s not considered essential), but it’s still widely known and accessible. When I looked for something similar here in Canada, I realized it wasn’t that common, my own family doctor didn’t even know it was possible. But then I found EarlyReveal. Here in Calgary, some labs actually use their service too, the difference is that they draw your blood in the lab to assist with the process… but the test itself is the same. So we thought… why not try it at home? The only thing was, I have a huge fear of needles. And even though they say it’s needle-free… I didn’t fully understand how that would work 😅 I was honestly expecting it to hurt. But I followed the step-by-step at home… and I didn’t feel anything at all.
