Norma Burton, a “precious” grandma who gained millions of followers by sharing videos with her granddaughter on TikTok, has died.
The 91-year-old passed away “peacefully” on Thursday. She was described as a ”beautiful, precious, perfect lady” by her family, who said they are “truly devastated” by her loss.

Ingredients:
For the pasta:
- 4 eggs
- 400g of type 00 flour
For the sauce:
- 500g of ripe tomatoes
- 1 large eggplant
- 2 cloves of black garlic
-500 g cherry tomatoes
- 50g of salted ricotta
- Fresh basil
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Slice the eggplant into rounds about 1 cm thick and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Cut the tomatoes in half. In a pan, heat plenty of olive oil and fry the eggplant slices until golden on both sides. Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
In another pan, heat some olive oil and add the black garlic and basil, then the diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook for about 15-20 minutes over medium-low heat, gently mashing the tomatoes with a fork to achieve a sauce-like consistency.
Add the eggplant slices to the tomato sauce and let them simmer for a few minutes. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in plenty of salted water. Drain the pasta and add it to the sauce, then mix well to combine the flavors.
Serve the pasta alla norma garnished with a sprinkle of salted ricotta and fresh basil leaves. Enjoy your meal!
