🚨 Police Chase Ends in Normal Heights 🚨 A police pursuit that started in Santee ended at 34th St & Meade Ave Friday after the suspect lost a front passenger tire. The chase began along Mission Gorge Rd and continued through Fairmont Dr, where a spike strip damaged the vehicle. Despite the damage, the driver continued west on Meade Ave, riding on the rim of the front passenger side and the rear passenger tire. Tire marks are visible along the route, including through the roundabout on Meade. The vehicle came to a stop facing police. It’s unclear if a PIT maneuver or spin-out caused the stop. Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity. The Vibe in Normal Heights has a great Happy Hour deal every weekday! Mon-Fri from 8-10am, all their entrees are $12 (excluding add-ons), and their drinks are $10 and under! The portions for their entrees are pretty good so you can definitely be full of your own dish (at least for me haha) The Vibe is such a nice spot with a beautiful and open interior and they surprised us with artsy hot lattes 🥹 First time having a hot matcha latte w/ a cat on it!! Such a fun time, highly recommend!! A long-awaited renovation at Ward Canyon Neighborhood Park in Normal Heights is underway! Construction crews are removing the vacant building along Adams Avenue to make more park space. That work is expected to be completed later this summer. Meanwhile, design work for the makeover of the rest of the park has begun.
