what you don’t realize ⬆️
The anti-#trans #hategroup #sexmatters just lost twice today in their attempts to harm and exclude queer people.
The #councilofeurope voted to #banconversiontherapy despite the hate-group’s lobbying efforts.
And Hampstead Ponds in London will remain inclusive as well as the well-funded case was blocked by the High Court.
These efforts to stop the hate-group are in great part thanks to all of you who’ve refused to give up and acted, and the people at the @goodlawproject
Gender equality isn’t just about feminism. It’s about equality for all gender identities.
Real impact happens when the conversation is truly inclusive. 🌈
In this episode, Charlie and Mia dive into what’s happening in the trans community — the challenges, the wins, and the current debates around puberty blockers and participation in male/female sports leagues.

Reeling in the queers 2025
Really grateful for so many wonderful opportunities to get to speak about so many important issues across our island and afar. From student issues, the continued violence against us all from an economic system made for billionaires, the genocide of Palestinians by Israel, the US and the west, and many more, thank you for listening to what I had to say.
Increased visibility has also meant more threats and harassment, something that has taken a real toll on me. My dead name was published far and wide. Non-stop messages about my body. Threats made to my safety.
However, to speak out is to recognise yourself not as an individual, but as part of a collective creating a better world for us all. We must agitate against individualism and towards collective struggle. When the fight gets tough, it is in community and collective action that will allow us to become unstoppable. Use your voice, as it is not truly yours, but a shared song with all those both alongside and before you.

For too long we’ve been told to bend, shrink, and reshape ourselves just to survive.
Volunteering with @translegalclinic alongside the legendary @oliviacampbellcavendish , is a reminder of something vital:
this work isn’t about fitting in.
It’s about shaping the world to fit us.
Radical care. Structural change. Collective power.
Community Leaders making a difference.

I had a calm, honest conversation with a transphobic woman.
It wasn’t a debate. It wasn’t a fight. It was just two people trying to understand each other and yeah, it surprised me too.
I do this because I believe visibility matters.
Having real conversations, even when they're uncomfortable, can chip away at the fear and misinformation people carry. If it helps make things even a little bit better for my community, then it’s worth it.
