I’ve been asked about these pediments many times. They are vintage and have a backstory. I’ve found some truly beautiful options from a few sources (I’ve linked them in my LTK). If you’re starting with brand-new ones in a bright white, I always suggest painting them the same color as your door frame so they feel as though they’ve always belonged. For this look, I used Roman Plaster by Behr — a creamy, old-world shade. Mine, though, came to me in the loveliest way. A neighbor was preparing to move and letting go of many things. I had half-jokingly told her, if you ever part with those, I’d love them, fully intending to pay, of course. She laughed and said no, she was taking them with her… and she did. Then one day, I came home to find them waiting on my front porch, tied together with ribbon.
