“I’m not a demon! I’m a human being!” 👹
Onibaba is one of my favorite black and white horror films, period. It tells the story of a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law who have taken the habit of killing wondering samurai and selling their armor to survive - until they meet one who claims to have known their respective son/husband at war. It’s a film frothing with raw and complex emotions - jealousy, fear of aging, brutal survival - examining what traditional roles mean when a family isn’t a unit any longer. It’s a dark and shadowy film - begging you to be tense about what might come out of the tall grass next.
And so, these Onibaba tile earrings were born! Each hand-painted and assembled with loads of cinephile love. ❤️ These will be part of my next drop, which is looking to be a week or so out. Have you seen this Japanese Horror Classic?

We have some amazing gifts from a follower and good friend on TikTok Zach B. I’ve had the opportunity of getting to know him and becoming good friends with him over the last year or so give or take. He’s also recommended some amazing movies that I have had the opportunity of adding to the collection.
.
My @criterioncollection has grown a bit since I’ve became friends with Zach. He has added several to the movie room. All of the movies he has bought me and recommended have been BANGERS!
.
So thank you for sending these over and I’m stoked to check them out.
.
Has anyone seen either of these?
