Noel Johnston. Unlock your inner composer. This harmony-driven method makes applying music theory easy. Learn to create, not just play. https://www.skool.com/jonsguitarlounge#MusicTheory #CompositionTips #LearnMusic #MusicEducation #CreativeMusicians #Songwriting #MusicProducer #ReelsMusic
This is my way of thinking. Variety is the whole point of making music. What gear you use, is up to personal preferences and experiences. We are lucky to have the choice. Trying to come up with a few, what I call, “shut up and play” one-pagers. Like half a page of written music tops that I can hand out on sessions. Just stuff that doesn’t need to be rehearsed much and we can get right to playing. Maybe this will turn into one of those. Disclaimer: this post was made with an incredibly high use of AI and post-production editing. It was also sponsored. I’m getting paid tons of money to post this. I pretty much don’t do anything anymore except for get paid and tell AI to make music guitar content for me.

All your session guitar needs, just a DM away! Sunday sparkles and a lovely review from @yosighost! ✨
in many ways, the thing that separates the greatest session players is their ability to come up with great parts (and the discipline to play them) . i really only talked about gtr players here but it’s really true of every instrument—James Jamerson wasn’t just playing the bass virtuosically—he was playing great bass *parts* that happened to be virtuosic
Technology and music practice at the same time. What a wonderful mess! Midi guitar and pedals….going fully bionic. . . . . . . . #guitar #fender #thisisnoise #fishman #hammondorgan @thisisnoiseinc @fishmanmusic @fender @officialhammondorgan
SubSix Diaries / Sound Scene 2 Still deep inside the SubSix lab. This time I’m running everything through Ableton stock plugins and improvising with a two-way split patch (A/B) — letting bass and melody lead the way. I’m fascinated by how far polyphony can stretch on the guitar. Each patch feels like a different mask for the instrument, subtly shaping how it responds and inviting you to explore its possibilities. String map: E – Shifter (octave up) + Noisy + a bit of Tipsy B & G – Jazz Chorus Amp + Rough Dub Echo D – Bass Church Pulse + a bit of Tipsy A – Shifter (octave down) + Noisy Low E – Shifter (octave down) + Hiss I’m slowly organizing these patches into a larger SubSix template. More on that soon #SubSix #AbletonLive #guitarpolyphony #sounddesignguitar #improvisation
TAKE 2! My Continuing Adventures into Sonic Landscapes | original ambient guitar music In my bid to re-learn guitar playing after a 25 year hiatus, I take us into an ambient sonic landscape of texture, grit, tension and movie-like scene setting. Might be slowly getting better at guitar playing too. Click to link to a longer vid of this with me talking about guitar stuff plus another version of this original ambient piece and a riffy psychedelic sojourn. Gloop on my friends! Onwards and lopwards! #ambient #ambientguitar #slowmusic #guitar #learningguitar
