Ontario Parks camping DRAMMmmmMmmAAAaaa🤪
People are getting wild out here on the reservation portal, it's every person for themselves these days!!!
Welcome to reel number 2 of ~Discussions~ reel number 1 was a discussion about the Canada Strong Pass 👀 check it out!
And then when you do finally get a spot, you see all these sites sitting empty!!! 😞😞
We won't go into details about how people are cheating the system, but it's heavily talked about online and other posts..
Simple solution? Winter and crownland camp😂 but we do love our Ontario Parks 🥺👉👈
Have you had any luck booking a prime spot or during prime time?

Hi! I’m Kate!
I’m a Canadian content creator that loves sharing adventures - local and beyond! I camp, backpack, hike, run, and spend as much time as I can with my dog. I always have my camera in my hand, and love a good road trip.
If this sounds like you, let’s be friends!

This is Ontario’s oldest provincial park and one of the largest. Spanning over over 7,600 square kilometres, with 1,500+ lakes and thousands of kilometres of rivers and trails. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and escape life, into the endless forests and lakes.
🌲How to explore Algonquin without a car:
🌲From Toronto:
-Take the Parkbus (seasonal)
-Take Ontario Northland bus to Huntsville and then a taxi to the park
🌲From Ottawa: Ontario Northland or VIA Rail partway west + taxi/shuttle
🌲OR book onto one of our guided, small group Algonquin day or overnight camping trips, with pick up and drop off conveniently from a Toronto TTC station. You don’t need a car or any equipment, just bring your sense of adventure (and you’ll leave with new friends!) Message me for dates available this year!
The 2026 Ontario Provincial Parks booking season is well on its way. Which parks are on your got it list?

I’ve been away exploring Latin America for a little while… but Ontario summers have a particular kind of magic that’s hard to shake, and I’m excited to be back! 🌿
And as I’m watching the days get a little longer and the air a little warmer, I’m reminded just how lucky we are to have all of this on our doorstep. Summer camping plans are officially in the books, and I genuinely can’t wait to share this season with you all! 🏕️🇨🇦

Best places to visit in Ontario. Ontario bucket list summer travel. Must do’s in Ontario in summer. Ontario Parks camping. Ontario hikes. Where to go in Ontario in Summer. Explore Ontario
Not every hike needs to be a 6-hour commitment. Sometimes you just want a great view without hiking all day, and Ontario actually has quite a few trails that deliver.
Here are 5 short hikes with seriously good payoffs:
• Barron Canyon - Algonquin Provincial Park
• Eagle’s Nest Lookout - Calabogie
• Old Baldy - Beaver Valley
• Big Bend Lookout - Arrowhead Provincial Park
• Landon Bay Lookout - Thousand Islands
Some of these take a bit of effort (looking at you, Eagle’s Nest), and others are basically a short walk from the parking lot. But all of them give you the kind of view that makes say “okay, that was worth it.”
Send this to the friend who always says they want to hike… but not too much.
And tell me, which one would you try first? 👇

This stretch of HWY is my FAVOURITE 😍 there are endless spots to stop, and view points to admire so IF I had to choose here’s my list…
But first! If you haven’t watched parts one through four, scroll back and catch up that I’m sharing The Ultimate Northern Ontario Road Trip from Sudbury to Thunder Bay 🚗📍
🌊 NEY’S PROVINCIAL PARK
It’s a popular one for SO many good reasons! Either stay for a few nights or at least get a hike in
🚗 TERRACE BAY
Climb up the flight house, grab lunch and check out the Aguasabon Falls + Gorge.
☀️ NIPIGON
Hike Kama Cliffs for an epic view (just before Nipigon). Stop in town at Love, Coffee xo and climb the Nipigon Lookout!
🗺️ Dorion
Take a detour for the Ouimet Canyon and take in some incredible views, afterward head to Eagle Canyon Adventures to cross Canada’s longest suspension bridge.
🥾Sleeping Giant Provincial Park
Do I need a reason to convince you? lol! Make sure to use enough time to hike The Giant and spend an afternoon wandering around Silver Islet.
There’s still so much to explore through this stretch, so follow along @emilywhoexplores as I share more of exploring Northern Ontario 🫶🏻
