Fresh hand-carved Opals ❤️
I used to think opal was subtle and milky — not really my style.
What I really wanted was a piece of jewelry that was unique so I could feel like it was my own.
I kept looking at uncommon stones, maybe a tsavorite or druzy… and everything still felt repeatable.
Then I saw a natural Australian opal in real light and realized every single opal is different from every signal opal.
So I started collecting opals with actual color and eventually started making jewelry with them.
Now I work with this one of a kind gems — because she’s the only one that changes the whole story when she moves.
Follow for myth busters.
You’ve been picking jewelry from online “new arrivals” that all start to look the same — like you’re choosing from a catalog, not choosing you.
What you really want is a piece made to match your personality so you feel recognized — like the outside finally reflects the inside.
You kept defaulting to different styles and trends, hoping one would click… but it didn’t work, because it still felt like you were trying on someone else’s idea of “pretty.”
Then you met a custom opal designer — someone who doesn’t start with a template, but starts with you (and an opal that can’t repeat itself).
So you create your piece together from scratch: we choose the opal first — because the stone is the blueprint, and if you change the opal, you change the entire design — and suddenly you’re not guessing anymore… you’re building something that feels like you.
Now you have a one-of-one piece that isn’t just “custom,” it’s personal — “art I can wear,” the kind that makes you smile when you look down and think, yes… that’s me. DM CUSTOM to start.
How do you curate a jewellery collection that feels deeply personal? A top tip is this: look for the hidden details 💖
Our ‘Glasshouse Mountains’ pendant is the perfect example… at first glance, it’s a glowing translucent opal. But after being held to the light, a secret silhouette of the mountains reveals itself from behind the stone.
It is truly jewellery that is more than meets the eye, designed to make your everyday more magical.

These six opal rings have been here for a while now.
Made slowly, one at a time, with solid Australian opals and fine metals, the way I always work.
They’re not part of a “new release.”
They don’t need reinventing.
But I realised they haven’t really had their moment.
So over the next little while, I want to give each of these rings the space they deserve, to be seen properly, and maybe to find the person they’re meant for.
No rush. No hype.
Just six one-of-a-kind opals, exactly as they are.
I’ll be sharing more about each one over the coming days.

I’m working on finishing the 18k gold piece with the dark base opals I shared the other day & this piece really shows how special the darker opals can be in a good setting ❤️ the warmth of the gold contrasts the grey base so well & really makes the colors pop
Can’t wait to show you guys the one I’m working on!
Crafting Magic - Magic of Love 💙
Australian Opal and natural diamonds set in 18K yellow gold
Opals have been tethered to the concept of love for millennia, though their “reputation” has shifted dramatically depending on the era and culture. Unlike diamonds, which represent endurance, opals are often seen as symbols of the emotional spectrum—shifting, colorful, and deeply felt.
The Ancient Perspective: Cupid’s Stone
In ancient Rome, the opal was considered one of the most precious gems. Because it contained the colors of all other jewels, the Romans called it Cupid Paederos (“Child as beautiful as Love”).
• The Symbolism: It represented hope, purity, and the “spark” of attraction.
• The Legend: It was believed that the stone fell from heaven in a flash of lightning, carrying the fire of passion within it.
The Emotional Mirror
In modern metaphysical circles, opal is often referred to as an emotional intensifier. It is rarely seen as a “calming” stone; instead, it acts as a mirror.
• Amplification: It is said to amplify the wearer’s current feelings. If you are in love, it enhances that joy; however, it was traditionally warned that if the wearer felt infidelity or anger, the stone would reflect that “cloudiness.”
• Spontaneity: Because of its play-of-color, it is associated with the unpredictable, exciting nature of new romance and creative passion.

Last week I sent out this custom earring pair with a stunning array of Australian opals that are truly magical together. This is a great example of why I love working on custom orders. Such a fun collaboration with a fellow artist 🥰
I am excepting just a few custom orders from now into the summer. DM me for details!
