Ossining just broke ground on a $21 million multi-modal transportation hub that’s designed for its future. And here’s why.
This project is centered on electric vehicle and e-bike charging, plus an e-bike repair shop, about 242 parking spaces and new green space, all brought into one modern facility.
This is being built at the Brandreth Street lot off Main Street, near the Metro North station and the Croton Aqueduct Trail. It’s right where all that downtown activity already comes together.
This project shifts more parking into one structured facility, while making it easier for people to move through downtown, support local businesses, bike to the trail and connect to the waterfront.

Located in Ossining, NY in Westchester County this 1K acre nature preserve is bursting with beauty.
There are 15 miles of well marked trails and you’ll see SO much wildlife on your journey. Dogs OK. I think a nature loving kid would learn so much here.
There are so many different habitats to explore. We saw: turtles, butterflies, birds, fish, frogs, and a crawdad which we screamed at because no one has ever seen one IRL before.
If you find yourself in Westchester County and need fresh air - this is a 10/10.

This summer is hot in more ways than one. Ten Westchester eateries have opened in the past few weeks with more opening soon.
One new spot, Wanna Empanada @wannaempanada in Ossining, which opens Saturday, July 22, features an ever-rotating list of sweet and savory empanadas (think Philly cheesteak, meatball parm, lobster mac and cheese, spinach and feta, Oreo, cheesecake and more) along with sodas and lemonade.
What began with a popular empanada food truck in 2020 owned and operated by Philip Gioio, his wife Kenelyn and mom Doreen, will now have a brick and mortar location. The truck will still be available for private parties, festivals and events.
