The best view after hiking for hours?
Sometimes… it’s the car 😂🫶
We always talk about the summit like it’s the ultimate reward.
But honestly? There were so many times I was just as happy — if not happier — to arrive back at the car.
Especially after an exhausting hike.
Especially with awful weather.
Especially when your legs are done and your fingers are frozen 😅
That feeling of taking your boots off, sitting down, and knowing you made it back safely? Elite.
The summit is beautiful.
But the real win is finishing what you started.
All my ideas are referred in a map link in bio 🔗

As-tu d’autres suggestions? 😜

A true winter wonderland with incredible sunset views! 😍
Mont Gosford is a winter favorite in Quebec, and it’s easy to see why! If you’re chasing beautiful snow ghosts, this winter hike deserves a spot on your bucket list! ❄️
📍 Mont Gosford
🚗 2.5 hours from Montreal or Quebec City
💲 Access fee required
🥾 Approximately 15 km round trip
⏱️ 4-6 hours
🥵 Difficult
🔝 585m positive elevation gain
🏔️ 1193m altitude at the summit
🗺️ Multiple trails lead to the summit. I personally followed SF1, SF6, and SF8, but you can ask the entrance booth attendant for the best route based on current conditions.
🐶 Dogs allowed
⚠️ Be sure to check the weather conditions and be well-prepared before attempting this winter hike. The summit is exposed and can get extremely cold and windy. Cell signal is limited, and the trail system can be confusing, so I recommend downloading a map before heading out!

Highest and biggest winter hike in quebec (1198 m) and a 18km hike The final push to the summit is the most intense. You leave the shelter of the forest and enter the alpine zone. Here, the wind can be fierce and can go to 100 km/h, and the trail is obscured by ice or deep drifts. Once you reach the peak, you are rewarded with a stunning panorama of the Chic-Chocs and the McGerrigle Mountains, often appearing as a sea of white peaks under a crisp blue sky.#mountain #hiking #explorer #outdoors #reels @smon6426
