Most people struggling in trucking did not fail because trucking does not work. They failed because they skipped the foundation. Nobody taught them how the business actually works. Not credit 💳 Not cost per mile 📊 Not dispatching 🚛 Not startup capital 💰 Just excitement… and a truck note. 🚫 That’s why so many new trucking companies are losing money before they even book their first profitable load. Trucking is a real business. And businesses require strategy, structure, and preparation 📚 The people who win in this industry understand the numbers, the lanes, and the systems before they ever buy the truck. That is exactly what I teach inside my mentorship. If you are serious about getting into trucking the right way, learning dispatching, and building a profitable operation instead of guessing your way through it, I can help you do it step by step. ✅ Learn the game before you play it. 🚛 Comment TRUCK if you are ready to move with strategy. 📩 Or DM me READY to join the mentorship and start building your trucking business the right way. #Trucking #OwnerOperator #freightdispatch #newmoney #trucking
A lot of people see the trucks and think the opportunity starts there. It doesn’t. The real work starts with understanding the business behind the truck. Things like: • Insurance costs • Maintenance planning • Cash flow management • Contracts and relationships • Understanding your local market The truck is just the tool. The structure behind it is what determines whether you build a business or buy yourself an expensive liability. 1) Choose a Business Name + Form an LLC Pick a strong, scalable name — not something limiting. Then form your LLC immediately. This protects your personal assets and makes you a legitimate business from day one. No shortcuts here. 2) Open a Business Bank Account Keep your personal and business money separate. This makes accounting cleaner, builds credibility with banks, and protects you legally. Treat it like a real company from the start. 3) Register for USDOT + MC Authority Your USDOT number registers you with the FMCSA. Your MC authority gives you permission to haul freight for pay across state lines. If you want broker loads and real contracts, you need both active. 4) Buy a Reliable Truck Don’t buy flashy — buy dependable. Maintenance history and engine condition matter more than appearance. Your truck is your income-producing asset. Reliability equals profit. 5) Get Commercial Insurance This is non-negotiable. Most brokers require $100,000 cargo insurance and $1,000,000 liability. Insurance protects your truck, the freight, and your business from being wiped out by one accident. Build it right the first time. Structure first. Revenue second. Scaling third. 🚛💼 #trucking #lastmiledelivery #owneroperator #logistics #truckinglife

3 things I learned as an owner operator.. 1. Money management! When things are going good save your money and don’t raise your lifestyle, because the market can always turn. 2. The right equipment matters! Know what your trying to do long run. If you plan to run your own truck an older no emissions truck may be for you. If you plan to have drivers a newer more comfortable truck may be smarter. 3. Do not take cheap freight! Running your equipment with cheap loads will only hurt you in the long run. Tires still wear and regular maintenance still needs to be done. Follow me for more tips on how to be profitable in an ever changing business! #trucking #owneroperator #cdl #businesstips
