Haydi! If you're tired of the same old Iftar meals, you need this in your life. 🍳🌙
I’m making a 15-minute Thai-style Pad Kra Pao that is packed with flavor but zero stress. We’re using a mortar and pestle to grind garlic and red chili into a paste that coats savory mince meat perfectly. Tossing in fresh Holy Basil at the end creates an aroma that will wake up all your senses! Serve it over rice with a crispy fried egg and a runny yolk for the ultimate high-protein "munch." ✨

Thai Basil Pork
#thaifood #thaibasil #padkaprao #fyp
Imagine Chinese cooking techniques paired with Thai ingredients and local taste. This is exactly how Pad Kra Pao came to life, here's how to easily cook it at home:
300gr minced beef (pork, chicken or tofu work as well)
2-3 Thai chilis (use less for less spicy)
5 cloves of garlic
1 shallot
1 bag of holy basil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp fish sauce
0,5 tsp sugar
1. Chop the garlic, shallot and chilis.
2. Wash and remove the big stalks from the holy basil.
3. Stir fry garlic, shallot and chilis in some oil
4. Add beef once the shallots become translucent.
5. Stir fry the mince until it starts to brown and add all seasonings.
6. Mix well and add the holy basil.
7. Stir fry until the leaves are wilted.
8. Serve with white rice.
(Optionally you can top with a fried egg.)

Pad Krapao Kai (Thai Basil Chicken)
It is Thai stir-fry made with minced chicken, holy basil, garlic, chilies, and savory sauces — typically served over jasmine rice and topped with a crispy fried egg.
It’s one of the most beloved comfort foods — quick, spicy, aromatic, and my favourite 😊😊

Pad kra pao
This is a firm favourite in my house. Packed full of punchy flavours and plenty of spice. I’ve seen a few versions of this dish knocking about on instagram recently so thought I’d wade in show you how I make it.
One addition I often do, when they are in season, is add in green beans. Good to get the veg in, but I saw someone recently add in Brussels sprouts, and I think that would probably be really delicious. So I’m going to give it a crack.

Spicy Pad Kra Pao for breakfast and I stand by it 🌶️🍳
If eggs & sausage are valid AM food, so is rice & pork.
Double standards are weird. Thai people get it

Homestyle Thai Chicken Basil with Fried Egg :
This is the dish every Thai person turns to when we don’t know what to eat.
At home, when ideas run out,
we say:
“Let’s just have chicken basil.”
Stir-fried chicken with garlic, fresh chillies and holy basil, cooked the way Thai families make it at home quick, fragrant, and full of flavour.
Finished with a crispy fried egg, golden on the outside and perfectly runny inside.
