The Pallof press is one of my absolute favorite core exercises out there. Here is how you do it, plus some variations tossed in there for you! I generally recommend 2-3 sets of 6-12 reps per side. (I’m using FT1 Functional Trainer here #gifted from @inspirefitnessofficial) #PallofPress #AntiRotation #CoreExercise #InspireFitness
The Pallof is an amazing anti-rotation exercise that can really help you to build a strong, stable core. It fully encompasses your entire core unit by challenging not just your abs, but your glutes, obliques, and spinal extensors. 1. Anchor your band onto something sturdy & assume an athletic position: feet about shoulder width apart, chest out, shoulders back. 2. Grasp the band with both hands (inside hand on bottom) & move away from your anchor point to find some tension & draw the band so that it’s centered with your chest. 4. Exhale as you lift pelvic floor & begin to extend your arms away from your body with a smooth, CONTROLLED motion. 5. Fully extend your arms and pause for 1-2 seconds & then return back to the starting position (again, under CONTROL). Inhale & begin again. You’re resisting the band pulling you back towards that anchor point. If you’re having a hard time keeping your hips/pelvis from moving, or resisting that rotation, you’re either standing with your feet too close together (the wider, the more stable) and/or you’re using too much weight/resistance. Common mistakes: •not enough tension on the band to feel a true challenge •too much tension where you can’t resist the rotation •moving too quickly & without control I’d argue that if this feels “easy” to you or you’re not quite “feeling it”, you’re likely making one of these mistakes. #pallofpress #exercise #howto #exercisetutorial #core #coreexercise #postpartum #postpartumcore #postpartumexercise
The Pallof press doesn’t just have to be done one way. Challenge your anti-rotational core stability by mixing up the variation, depending on your skill level. _ Remember to set up the cable pulley according to your body’s positioning. And of course, do both sides. _ Puh. _ #strengthtraining #core #coretraining #coreworkout #coreexercises #abs #abworkout #abexercises #personaltrainer #personaltraining #personaltrainertoronto

POSTPARTUM CORE TIPS⬇️ The Pallof Press is one of my go-to exercises as I rehab my core after pregnancy and it’s a STAPLE in my Core & Restore programs even if you’re multiple YEARS postpartum. It’s a great exercise to progress as you get stronger by doing it in different positions (like in a split squat or while lunging) or to make it dynamic by adding rotation or lateral steps away from your anchor point. Want more exercises like this to help minimize core dysfunction? Type RESTORE below and I’ll send you a free week of my Core & Restore programs on the @sweat app
_______________________________ #sats #satssverige #träning #träningsglädje #workout #wootd #gymrat #gymlife #fitness #fitnessmotivation #absworkout #coreworkout #core #coreexercises
PALLOF PRESS TO ROTATION🔥 Put your core and upper body to the test with the palloff press with rotation from our guy @cameronahouse! Great workout with Rosie @mamawelluk this week. Hit SAVE to find this video whenever you need! 💪🏼💪🏼 We tend to do varied full body circuits as I want to feel everywhere is working hard each workout. We also do cardio & band workouts, but I wanted to share this circuit with you. This has 7 moves & felt great on the legs, arms, abs. We did it 3 times, and did 30s for each movement. I’m using fairly light weights here, nothing over 10kg - those arms circles were killer after the tricep dips. 1. Squat press 2. Unilateral bent over row R then L 3. Back lunge, pulse for 3 4. Triceps dips 5. Small circles arms raised 6. Weighted lateral bend 7. Kneeling Pallof press Who’s saving this one to do at the weekend? TAG your workout buddy and give it a go! You’ll feel great afterwards… Any questions, Rosie will answer - pop them in the comments.
CORE WORK! (without the crunches, ab bikes and sit-ups)… Don’t get me wrong I’m all for training abdominal flexion but I’m also for training the whole unit. In this clip we are training core stability from all angles - anti flexion, anti extension, anti rotation and anti lateral flexion. I’m 15 weeks pregnant here though these movements aren’t pregnancy specific. They are beneficial for everyone (planks can be progressed as needed). Details: 12 reps of each move for 4 rounds. ✖️Counterbalance Squat ✖️Pallof Press ✖️Unilateral Farmers March (es) ✖️30s Plank Hold Save these and try them for yourself 👌🏻
Hate sit ups (or crunches)? Try these instead to see your core / abs get stronger. These work…and no lying on the floor necessary. Pallof Press: 10-15 on each side. Farmer Carry: Walk for 30-45 seconds Woodchoppers: 10-15 on each side X3 rounds TAG a pal who loves core work. SAVE for later. #corework #abworkout #substitutemovements #mixitup #cruncheschallenge
