Don’t start a trim project without these 2 tips 👇🏼 ✨ 1. Measure twice, cut once! It sounds obvious, but double-checking every measurement before making a cut can save you so much time, material and frustration. Especially when you’re working around corners, doors or awkward spaces! ✨ 2. Don’t rely on your walls being straight! Walls and ceilings are rarely perfectly level, especially in newer homes. Always measure each section individually rather than assuming they’re all the same, and use a level to keep your trim looking straight. AD | If in doubt, add more wall panelling 🙌 A little progress round-up of the boys shared bedroom… All of the wall panels are up and topped with a dado rail - once again using the fantastic kit from @easipanel 🤌 Most of the panels needed scribing along the bottom to sit neatly against the skirting board and so this time around I glued them at full height then cut them all down to height in one go with a multi-tool. Other than some wonky walls pushing bits out here and there it was largely smooth going 🥳 I’ll never not love the external corner pieces that come in this kit that add such a lovely extra woodwork detail ✨ I applied a coat of grey water-based primer before going in with this gorgeous teal blue eggshell top coat on the panelling and the rest of the woodwork (skirting, architrave, window sill, doors). I use to paint panelling with a brush/roller combo but actually this time found that it’s much quicker just with the right brush👌 Now that the ceiling, woodwork and wall panelling are painted it’s time to start wallpapering 🤗 kids bedroom makeover | tongue and groove wall panelling | diy home project | blue interiors
