Parisian duo @papoozband French folk-pop and American rock on album #Resonate 🎶 In this edition of our arts24 music show, @jennybenbrahim chats with one half of French duo #Papooz, @ulysse_cottin, as the pair drop their fourth studio album « Resonate ». It’s a record full of euphoric sounds and melancholic lyrics, for which they enlisted the help of American songwriter Jesse Harris and superstar producer Patrick Wimberly. Ulysse and Armand first met after a chance encounter waiting in line at a Patti Smith concert. Papooz – Samedi 27 juin – Scène Principale Il y a chez Papooz ce truc immédiat, lumineux, presque intemporel. Depuis plus de dix ans, Ulysse et Armand façonnent une pop élégante, nourrie des Beatles, de la bossa brésilienne et des harmonies 60’s, entre ballades sentimentales et grooves délicats. Avec Papooz & Friends, leur nouvel album enregistré entre Paris, Rio et Mexico, le duo célèbre l’amitié et le plaisir du jeu collectif, entouré d’artistes complices comme Erlend Øye ou Zé Ibarra. Un disque solaire, libre, qui ne poursuit qu’un objectif : faire de la pop et rendre les gens heureux. À La Crème, face au coucher du soleil, ça sonne comme une évidence.
