#worldbreastfeedingweek #2025 The world sees the baby. But no one sees what the mother goes through. This one’s for the breastfeeding mums - especially my wife. She went through hell. Twice. With our first, our son was born with a tongue tie. - Every feed felt like knives. - Nipples cracked, chapped, bleeding. - We tried it all — nipple shields, lanolin cream, silver cups, cabbage leaves. - Hot compress. Cold compress. Pumping in pain. - Engorged. Leaking through clothes. - Still fed. Still smiled. - Still held him close - even when it hurt like hell. With our second, it was’t any better. - Cluster feeding. No sleep. - Milk coming in like fire. - Mastitis scare. - The isolation. - The silent tears. - The expectation to just… keep going. And she did. 💪 Not once did she complain. 💪 Not once did she give up. So today - on the last day of World Breastfeeding Week 2025, I’m saluting every mother who’s been through this silent struggle. 💥You’re not “just” feeding a baby. You’re giving your body, your sleep, your peace, your everything.💥 ♥️ You are powerful beyond words. ♥️ 🤍 Tag a mum who needs to hear this. 🤍 Or just send this to her. Let her know she’s seen. My wife sends a special thank you to @lansinohfamily @koalababycare_it @koalababycare_usa @philipsavent @haakaa_uk - incredible products which helped her massively through this journey which isn’t talked about enough. Lastly @danaemercer @pujatailorkhan @sophiefamilytravel - who my wife and I have followed and learnt so much from. If you feel this topic isn’t talked about enough, please share 🙏🏼♥️ #breastfeeding #breastfeedingjourney #newborn #postpartum #truth #mumlife #momlife #mother #motherhood #parenting #real #unfiltered #raw #appreciation #hero #nipple #pain #newmum #tonguetie
Bit of fun🏌️⛳️ If you’ve tuned into any episode of Parenting Hell as of late or came to my shows recently you’ll know I’ve had a lot of downtime on tour. So I’ve done what any reasonable 40 year old man would do and taken up golf whilst touring. Partly to take a break from industrial estates, but mostly to have an excuse to get pissed abroad in the name of sport. Bonus is - it’s good for the old mental health too. Just a man documenting his journey learning to play and hoping to not be completely shit, really. Let’s Golf with me RB, most Sundays. Follow Let’s Golf now🏌️ #golf
🤯 @robbeckettcomic & @josh_widdicombe were talking about us on Parenting Hell podcast!! Yes, Brick Borrow – the subscription service where you can borrow LEGO®️ sets – got a shoutout on the UK’s biggest parenting podcast. They called it a “great idea”… and we couldn’t agree more. ➡️ www.brickborrow.com #lego #brickborrow #legogram #legocommunity #afol #legomania #legofan #legophotography #parenting #funny #parents #podcast #backtoschool #parentinghell #parentinghellpodcast #robbeckett #joshwiddicombe
It’s not how much you drink, it's how you drink. @josh_widdicombe is a changed man. His hilarious podcast Parenting Hell, which he co-hosts with Rob Beckett, has become a sensation. They’ve recently completed an arena tour of the UK, like podcasting rockstars! But, after quitting drink a few months ago, Josh did the whole thing sober. This was a really fun and funny episode of Changes. Josh tells me about being an obsessive child, his journey to comedy, how he dealt with his wife's labour, becoming a parent (of course), how he has changed since starting Parenting Hell, and in the above clip, his very recent decision to quit booze for good. Is Josh’s journey with alcohol something you relate to? Listen link in bio
The Parenting Hell Live tour is now underway. Nottingham, Cardiff, O2 London, Wembley and Birmingham next.

I wanted Joey more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my entire life. And every moment of the last 12 months, the good and the bad, are moments I’ll cherish forever. I remember him being 5 months old and walking the dog, Joey asleep in the bassinet. One of the walks I did every single day. Joey would nap, I’d be wearing my thick khaki duvet coat listening to a podcast (namely Parenting Hell), and Bruce would be walking beautifully alongside us. And I remember thinking I’d never been happier in my whole life. I’d dreamt of these days, and now I was living them. Every single sleep deprived day was everything I’d wanted and more. I have been so lucky to be able to take the last 13 months off work. I am very aware of the privilege I have in having had a husband who has been able to support me to do so. I know that’s not the same for everyone. It should be. But it isn’t and I am acutely aware of how blessed that makes me. To have witnessed every first, to have been able to do every bedtime, every waking night. I’ve built a bond with my son that is so strong, and is something I am immensely proud of. I am lucky to have built a village. I have surrounded myself with “Mum friends” again I am so lucky to have, that I know too not everyone has the privilege of. In this last year I have learnt more about myself than I ever thought possible. I have grown and I have changed, and I am proud of who I am becoming. Tomorrow I go back to work and I feel every emotion. Some freelance work I took on during my leave has turned into a new job, a new career, with whole new prospects. And whilst I am so excited (and scared) to start properly, I feel so sad this year has come to an end. So nervous for Joey to start nursery and this new chapter of our lives. Anxious for how it will affect our bond, and the mum guilt creeps in. But truly, this has been the best year of my life. This time I will never get back, and if I had to describe my maternity leave in one word, it would be blessed. It’s the end of a beautiful era. And now a new one begins. 🖤 #maternityleave #backtowork #honestmotherhood #motherhood #motherhoodunplugged #motherhoodrising #motherhoodjourney #ivfmama
