जसरथ खोखर 15वीं सदी के पंजाब के एक प्रभावशाली जनजातीय नेता थे, जिन्होंने दिल्ली सल्तनत को चुनौती दी और कुछ समय के लिए पंजाब में स्वतंत्र शक्ति स्थापित की। वे खोखर (मुस्लिम जाट परंपरा से जुड़े) कबीले के प्रमुख थे और क्षेत्रीय इतिहास में एक महत्वपूर्ण नाम हैं।
काल: लगभग 1420–1442 ई.
क्षेत्र: पंजाब (सियालकोट, झेलम, चिनाब क्षेत्र)
समुदाय: खोखर क़बीला (पंजाबी मुस्लिम जाट परंपरा से जुड़ा माना जाता है)
🔹 वे कौन थे?
जसरथ खोखर 15वीं सदी में पंजाब क्षेत्र के एक शक्तिशाली सरदार थे। वे खोखर कबीले के प्रमुख बने और दिल्ली सल्तनत व कश्मीर की राजनीति में हस्तक्षेप करने लगे। उस समय उत्तर भारत में सैय्यद वंश की सल्तनत कमजोर हो रही थी, जिसका फायदा उठाकर उन्होंने अपने प्रभाव का विस्तार किया।
🔹 राजनीतिक और सैन्य भूमिका
उन्होंने Punjab के बड़े हिस्से में अपना प्रभाव स्थापित किया।
कई बार उन्होंने Lahore पर नियंत्रण किया।
वे Kashmir की आंतरिक राजनीति में भी शामिल हुए और
वहाँ के शासकों के साथ संघर्ष व गठबंधन दोनों किए।
उनका संघर्ष मुख्य रूप से Sayyid dynasty के सुल्तानों से रहा।
🔹 तैमूरी संबंध का दावा
कुछ लोककथाओं और सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट में यह दावा मिलता है कि उनकी माता तैमूर (तैमूरलंग) की वंशज थीं। हालांकि, इस दावे के पुख्ता ऐतिहासिक प्रमाण सीमित हैं। मुख्यधारा के इतिहासकार उन्हें खोखर कबीले के स्वतंत्र सरदार के रूप में ही उल्लेख करते हैं।
🔹 महत्व
वे दिल्ली सल्तनत के खिलाफ पंजाब में स्थानीय शक्ति के प्रतीक माने जाते हैं।
खोखर कबीले को संगठित कर उन्होंने एक प्रकार का क्षेत्रीय “कोर स्टेट” खड़ा किया।
उनकी मृत्यु लगभग 1442 ई. के आसपास मानी जाती है, जिसके बाद उनका संघ कमजोर पड़ गया।
