🇵🇹 Ainda não dá para sentir o cheiro pelo telemóvel por isso, vais ter mesmo de passar por cá. E acredita: vale cada segundo. 🇬🇧 You still can't smell it through your phone, so you'll really have to stop by. And trust me: it's worth every second. #pasteisdebelem #pastéisdebelém #eggtart #lisboa #portugal #lisbon #wonderlustportugal #lisboacool #lisbonlovers #lisbonne #lissabon #lisbona
Summer adventures kicked off with a stop in Lisbon 🇵🇹 Of course one of the very first things on my list was trying the famous Pastel de Nata! 😍 They definitely lived up to the hype—the ones from @pasteisdebelem were absolutely amazing. A perfect way to start our Portuguese adventure! ❤️🥐 #AnaCristinaCash #TravelGram #Lisbon #Portugal #PastelDeNata
What would you wait in line for? ⏳ I have an answer to that question: nothing. Well, at least not for food. But my wife and my son are not like me. So sometimes I have to wait with them. 😔 And in Macau 🇲🇴, even though you can find pasteis de nata pretty much everywhere, there’s 1 place that sells these famous treats where there’s always a line: Lord Stow’s bakery (@lordstowsbakery). In fact, they have several branches in Macau and every time I’ve walked by one of them, there was a line. 😳 That day we went to the Taipa store. Luckily, since they don’t sell many varieties of products, we didn’t have to wait too long, less than 5 minutes for sure. We had a couple of pasteis for my wife and son and some sort of angel food cake for me (to share with the others of course, but since I didn’t have a pasteis... 😇). I did try my son’s pasteis though. They were served warm, again, and I still think it’s not a good idea as the savors and textures are less “clear”. Plus they were pretty expensive compared to other spots in the country and for the (small) size: 11 MOP (about €1.2). And at the Venetian branch, they’re even more expensive (13 MOP). 🫤 Good news: the cake was really good, even though it was surprisingly dense. But that I loved, we all loved actually. 👍 Lord Stow’s Bakery is pretty famous for their pasteis (according to their SM accounts, they’re the creators of the pasteis in 1989... hum! 🤣) but I highly suggest you go there for their angel food cake and forget about the pasteis. . . . #macaufood #macaufoodie #macaufoodies #macaufoodblogger #macaustreetfood
Bom dia 💙
The line was wrapped around the building. 😳🇵🇹 Nowadays I don’t think waiting in any line is worth it — but my husband insisted, and the line moved faster than I expected anyway. Then... OMG. We tried the original Pastéis de Belém in Lisbon (@pasteisbelem), at the actual bakery that invented this treat — and I would wait in line again just for one bite. Flaky. Sweet. Light. Perfection in every single way. If you’re ever in Lisbon: run, don’t walk. Every other nata we’ve had since doesn’t come close. 📍 Pastéis de Belém, Lisbon Tag the person you’re taking to try their first pastel de nata 👇
