🚨 Peacehaven Mosque Fire Under Investigation Emergency services were called to a fire at a community mosque in Peacehaven on Saturday night. Firefighters brought the blaze under control, and fortunately, no one was injured. Sussex Police are treating the incident as a hate crime. Shocking footage shows a man allegedly setting the fire, while a taxi driver inside managed to escape safely. Residents expressed concern after hearing sirens and seeing smoke. Our first family trip to the Breede River and Peacehaven was absolutely unforgettable! The kids were thrilled with all the activities. From stand-up paddleboarding to canoeing and fishing, they were constantly on the water. They also couldn’t get enough of the trampoline and games like table tennis, foosball, and darts. The property itself felt like a dream—a spacious, luxurious farmhouse with a cozy, traditional vibe. Peacehaven can sleep 14 people, making it perfect for future trips with friends. We stayed in the Manor House, which was ideal for us, featuring two en suite bedrooms, a kids’ double-bunk room with a separate bathroom, a TV lounge, an open-plan kitchen and living area, and an outdoor dining terrace with a braai. The two Boat Sheds and Stone Cottage would offer great privacy for friends if we returned with a larger group. One of the highlights was watching the sunset by the river while the kids played. The views were spectacular, and the tranquility was exactly what we needed to unwind as a family. With biking, trail running, and plenty of space to relax, Peacehaven is the perfect adventure getaway. We’re already excited to go back! From Peacehaven onwards (2.5miles) is a road nearby which you can catch a bus from at various points the rest of the way. ⛰️ Difficulty: The route is easy, but the length makes it a bit tougher. 💡 Tip: wear comfy shoes.
