Last week a prolific burglar was jailed after being caught stealing parcels in a takeaway delivery bag. Phillip Thompson was caught on CCTV – and from those images, detectives were able to use Retrospective Facial Recognition to identify him. The 35-year-old had employed different tactics to gain access to properties across #Cardiff and #Penarth, including forcing entry or taking advantage of an open door or window. He also turned up at student hall of residence with a paint pot – claiming to be a decorator – as well as acquiring a Just Eat takeaway bag, pretending to be delivering food.
