I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far and by enjoying I mean I hope at least some of you walked home from the pub like penguins at 3am. I don't know what it is but watching these amazing birds always reminds me of the many times I watched my friends stumble into my car in the wee hours of the morning.
While over the last few years I've focused on cinematography and flying drones it's nice to pickup my Nikon and get back to doing photography on this @lindbladexp trip, but the urge to film is still there. Sadly with the bird flu outbreak we have been limited to no tripods, which means this video was handheld. Not bad for a 400mm lens eh?

Gentoo penguins build their nests from pebbles, which help keep their eggs raised off the wet ground. Pebbles are also part of courtship, so bringing a good one back to your partner is basically penguin romance.
