Your perm rod set transformation turned into Baptist grandma curls 👵🏾😂 … but here’s why your rod set keeps flopping and how to fix it: 0. START ON FRESHLY WASHED & DEEP CONDITIONED HAIR so your hair isn’t STIFF •deep conditioning treatment used - @manenutrients 🤟🏾 1. Make sure your natural hair is FULLY dry before takedown (sit under a dryer or use a handheld dryer). 2. When unrolling your rollers, use a spiral wrist motion to keep the curl intact. 3. Add a little oil for natural hair before separating and ONLY separate where the curls naturally split. 4. To stretch your 4C hair, blow dry from the roots to the mid-length while holding the ends so the curls stay bouncy. 5. The Pineapple Method is THAT GIRL!! Using a silk scarf protects your hair, keeps your hair shiny and breathable so your style lasts longer! I don’t really add any products with this style because I did my Perm Rod Set on stretched hair and I don’t want it to revert. As long as you stay consistent and WRAP YOUR HAIR AT NIGHT the style will last, your curls will stay in place and the shine and movement stays! Are you enjoying my hair content? 🥰

Here's Why I Regret Putting Mousse on the Roots: It made it very difficult to pick the curls and loosen the root for a fuller shape. I've seen people install the perm rods in reverse, root to tip. I think my method secures and smooths my ends so they don't get fluffy and frizzy as they dry. I wanted them slicked dooooooowwwnnnn. Have you ever done a perm rod set?
