Not everyone who helps you launch is meant to fly with you into orbit. In a powerful speech, Tyler Perry explains that many relationships are seasonal, comparing them to rocket boosters that are designed to fall away once you reach a certain level of success.
Perry tells his audience to listen closely to one key piece of advice: some people come into your life only for a season, not for a lifetime. He uses the metaphor of a rocket launching into space, pointing out that the boosters are essential for liftoff, but they eventually detach and fall off once a specific altitude is reached. He emphasizes that when people fall away from your life, it doesn’t mean they are bad people; it simply means they are not equipped to handle the altitudes you are heading toward, so you shouldn't be afraid to let them go.
Growth requires shedding weight, and sometimes that weight is the very people who supported you early on. Learning to appreciate seasonal relationships for what they were—without forcing them into what they can't be—is a necessary step in reaching your highest potential.

Fear drives more than we realize.
Many assume behaviors come from control, but often it’s fear. Childhood experiences and trauma can shape how we respond, and the mind-body connection plays a huge role in health.
Understanding the “why” behind actions can change how we heal and grow.
Face the fear, explore the root, and take control of your health and life.

At 25, I finally stopped negotiating with these 5 things
1. Walking 10k steps daily
Not for fitness goals.
For mental clarity.
2. Waking up at 6 am
No rushing.
Just a quiet start.
3. No phone for 1 hour after waking And no phone before sleeping.
My mind needed space.
4. Meditating
Even when I don’t feel like it.
Especially then.
5. Working at least 2 hours on my skill
Every single day.
No excuses.
I wrote this down for myself - comment ROUTINE if you want it too.

Sometimes we all need a reminder of how special we are. 🤍
Not in a dramatic way — just in a real, grounded way.
A reminder that who we are matters. That our presence makes a difference.
That the way we care, work, love, and show up is not small.
It’s easy to forget that we’re unique while we’re busy trying to handle everything. But there is only one version of her. No one else has her exact heart, her mind, her story, her impact.
And that’s powerful.
If someone comes to your mind while reading this, send it to her. Let her know she matters. 🤍

Are you a type C? I think I am & two years ago at 45, I realised something.
I couldn’t keep relying on one income stream forever. My type C brain was tired, I didn’t hate my career, I wasn’t struggling. But I realised life changes.
After 30+ years in the hair industry, I knew I needed another option for my future.
So I started building a travel business alongside my career.
Fast forward to today and it has completely changed the trajectory of my life.
If you’re a type C woman who’s quietly wondering what your next chapter might look like…
Send me a message saying INFO.
No pressure. No awkward sales chat.
Just a conversation.

What I wish I knew in my 20s… before my 50s made me pay for it.
I used to think 50 was “old.”
Now I realize… it’s just the part where everything you did (or didn’t do) starts to show.
And my mom? She was right about more than I wanted to admit.

Turns out, the higher you go, the less you look busy.
I used to think leadership meant being the most responsive person in the room. First online, last to leave, instant Slack replies.
That just made me an expensive task manager.
Real leadership looks different. It looks like empty calendar blocks. It looks like not checking email first. It looks like... not working.
Except it is working. It’s the actual job.
Here are 5 things I do every Monday morning that my team used to think meant I was slacking — but are actually what keep us moving forward instead of just staying busy.
I block 9-11am for nothing. No meetings. No Slack. Just thinking and planning my week. This is when I’m doing my actual job — figuring out where we’re going, not reacting to where we are.
I don’t check email first. I spend the first hour asking: what are the 1-2 decisions only I can make this week? Everything else is noise.
I have skip-level coffee chats. Twenty minutes with someone two levels down tells me more about what’s actually happening than any status report ever could. My team thinks I’m just socializing.
I write instead of talk. Every Monday I send my team a short note — here’s what I’m thinking about, here’s what I’m prioritizing, here’s why. Thirty minutes of writing prevents ten hours of meetings.
I protect everyone else’s Monday mornings too. No meetings before 11am. Period.
None of this looks like hustle. None of it looks impressive on a highlight reel.
But this is what separates leaders from really productive individual contributors.
If your Monday is back-to-back meetings and a flooded inbox, you’re not leading — you’re drowning in real time.
Comment CLARITY and I’ll send you my Career Clarity Workbook — it’s the framework I use to identify what’s actually high-impact vs. what’s just keeping me busy. #ambitionunplugged #leadershipdevelopment #careeradvice #corporatelife #personalgrowth
1. Write down every fear until you’re exhausted. By the third page, most of them start sounding less scary — even silly.
2. When you need ideas or clarity, leave your phone in another room. It works better than any productivity app.
3. Drink a glass of water when you’re angry.
Half the time, you’re just dehydrated or hungry.
4. Wear real clothes at home if you want to feel alive.
Pajamas = low-energy blob mode.
5. Set a 15-minute timer and complain freely. Be dramatic. Vent, cry, scream if you need to.
When the timer ends, get up — it surprisingly works.
6. When things feel heavy, imagine yourself as a child.
You’ll feel compassion instead of pressure. Be gentle with yourself.
7. Write letters to people you can’t move on from — but don’t send them.
It releases emotions deeper than you expect.
8. Act like your life is a documentary.
Suddenly, everything feels more meaningful and beautiful. Main-character mindset unlocked.
9. Talk to yourself out loud like you would to a best friend — especially when self-doubt shows up.
It makes things instantly lighter.
10. Sit quietly for 10 minutes, just staring at a wall.
It resets your mind almost like a short nap.

Your standards evolve with your awareness.
What once felt like luxury was just the highest level you had experienced.
Until you saw more. Felt more. Became more.
And suddenly…you can’t go back.
Not out of ego, but out of alignment.
Growth is uncomfortable because it raises your standards in every area of your life.
And once you’ve experienced something real,
something deeper, something aligned, anything less feels like self-betrayal.
This isn’t about wanting more.
It’s about no longer accepting less 🫰🏻
