SAVE this for… a modern cafe putting a Korean spin on classic brunch dishes.
I love an Asian fusion brunch, so I was so excited to have the chance to check out Cafe Eighty2 and try some of their brunch dishes with a Korean spin.
We tried:
🥩 Beef Bulgolgi Benedict: stir fried beef bulgogi with smoked chilli hollandaise and roasted mushroom. Jeremy loved the beef and the eggs were perfectly poached.
🍝 Volcano Meatball Benedict: dish of the day! The juiciest meatballs in a slightly spicy gochujang sauce with poached egg and Parmesan. I wanted to lick the plate clean!
🦀 Crab Rose Pasta: I couldn’t say no to pasta for breakfast! Creamy rose sauce, generous amounts of crab meat and perfectly al dente fettucine.
I also loved the Chocolate Matcha Cloud (such a good combination!) while Jeremy tried his first ever strawberry matcha!
The space is modern, bright and spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating and just a short walk from the newly renovated Elizabeth Baillie Park.
I loved my brunch so much I’ve already booked my return visit! Thank you Chloe for the invitation and for taking such wonderful care of us ❤️

The thought of going back to Singapore just makes me weak all over. This feeling always comes whenever I need to leave Perth. And then I would be okay for a while..until the next Perth trip. 😅
Day 6 started with breakfast at another of our favourite breakfast spots - Qoffee & Dates. You can’t go wrong with their Nasi Lemak and Shaksuka! Highly recommended!
We then proceeded to Raeburn Orchards. Could not do fruit picking so we just walked around the beautiful orchard and took load of pictures. Quite surreal actually to see trees full of avocados, pomegranates, persimmons and passionfruits and more. The temptation to pluck them was THIS great. 🤣
Next, to S&R Orchard. This place is another must visit if you wanna take beautiful pictures. Also, don’t forget the tractor ride here. They have a small animal farm too with animals like alpaca, goats, lambs, chickens, and horse. If you want to do fruit picking here, best to come in March and December.
Bummer. My kids and I really enjoy fruit picking lah.
Some outdoor play next for the kids at our favourite outdoor playground - Kwinana Adventure Park! This park has been named Australia’s Best Park in 2017! Really love it here! They encourage creativity and unstructured play here to engage the senses and further develop their motor skills!
Dinner was at Nura @aazyy_ & Azhar’s @azharsidek beautiful new abode. Such a huge space and Masya’allah, so cozy too! Love your new place, guys! Nura cooked up a storm; Daging Kicap, Sambal Udang, Airfried chicken wings, Fishball Soup and Jelly Cocktail, to name a few. Don’t forget @shiokuntilblur sambal too! Heheh! So cute! Next time must remember to bring some SuperShiok Sambal for my Perth friends.
I am not a social butterfly. I only enjoy interacting with people I am comfortable with. You can call me selective but personally I feel this is better than not being a good friend to your many friends. 😉 Azhar and Nura never fail to make their guests feel at home. Really appreciate this. Thank you so much for always having us. For the warmth. For the friendship. Alhamdulillah.
