🤍 If you asked me when I first started DJing at 30 whether I would ever play an event like Dîner en Blanc, I would have laughed.
🤍To stand in front of 1300 people this year, not only as the DJ but also as the Music Director curating the music from start to finish at @elizabethquay was such a pinch me moment.
🤍But the part that will stay with me forever was having my dad on stage with me. We had a rough week as a family and something in me said we needed percussion, especially for @marciomendesmusic legendary Brazilian samba set.
🤍I asked Dad one week before the event if he would jump in and he said yes, and he absolutely owned it! ⭐️
🤍Seeing the joy on his face performing for a crowd that big, seeing how much the audience loved him, and knowing it was my dad standing beside me, reminded me exactly why I love music.
🤍This moment is a core memory for me and this reel is just a glimpse of what we created together.
