A little throwback to my visit to @onlyphou ✨ Opened earlier this year, this spot in the heart of Manchester (right on Chapel Street) is the perfect blend of great food and great vibes. If you’re craving authentic Vietnamese flavours, their pho and summer rolls are a must (honestly, I could eat the summer rolls non-stop 😅). Everything is freshly made, full of flavour and beautifully presented. The highlight for me? The spring rolls (absolute perfection) and the beef & garlic pho: rich, comforting and packed with flavour. What makes it even better is that it’s not just about the food. With private karaoke rooms, it’s the ideal place to start with dinner and keep the party going. The team is so friendly, a great drinks selection and the karaoke made it such a fun evening (especially @nofilterfoodiee and @thejoelomari 🎤🎶💃🏻). The lunch series episode 12 🥙 HOP Vietnamese serves fresh pho, bánh mì, rice bowls and salads. They have so many different locations in London and Manchester! This one is a newly opened restaurant in Kings Cross. For all my City of London workers, don’t worry there’s also one on London Wall, Moorgate 😊 I had the seafood spring rolls. It definitely has a lot of flavour and I liked the sauce that came with it too :) I altered the rice bowl which is why it looks quite different (I am quite picky sometimes 😅) but this chicken curry box was good they gave a really good portion. I liked the pho but I felt this was just average! So one day I added sweet and sour chicken balls from China Wok on Norwich to their Chinese Combo meal and it got me thinking. What else would they go well with from other Norwich Market vendors. So far I’ve added them to Teriyaki Pork Don Buri by @bunbox, Chips from @lucyschips ,Chicken Pad Thai from @tastyhouse_norwichmarket, Kimchi Salad from @rabbits.norwich, Nduja and Chorizo Mac n Cheese from @papamombassa, Chilli Dog from @bangerstop and Coconut Chicken Curry rice bowl by @norwichfresh. Some worked really well together but others didn’t really benefit from adding that sweet and sour sauce. My favourite so far has to be adding them to Chicken Pad Thai.
