Yes, you can make significant progress training twice a week, especially if you’re a beginner.
Now your results might be slower than if you trained 3 or 4 times a week, but you can still improve your fitness, increase your strength, and gain muscle by training 2 times a week.
And for a lot of people, training twice a week makes it easier to stay consistent long term.
It also leaves more room for recovery, walking, and anything else life throws at you.
Coach Deb
As a personal trainer… here’s what I don’t care about:
-If you’ve “fallen off” your routine before
-If you’ve tried and quit multiple programs
-If you’re restarting again for the 5th or 10th time
- If life got busy and fitness moved to the back burner
Life happens. Schedules change. Priorities shift.
Almost every client I’ve worked with has had seasons where working out just wasn’t possible.
What I DO care about:
-You deciding to try again
-Learning from what didn’t work before
-Building habits that fit your real life
- Focusing on long-term consistency instead of short bursts of motivation
Starting over isn’t a setback.
It’s usually the exact moment people finally do it differently and make it stick.
I see this all the time.
It’s not inconsistency.
It’s a mismatch between your life and your training.
That’s what I help my clients work through.

You don’t need to train 5–6 days a week to get results over 30.
For many women, that approach actually works against them.
Over 30 we often have:
• More life stress
• Kids and busy schedules
• Less recovery time
• Hormonal changes that affect energy and cortisol
So piling on more workouts can leave you feeling exhausted, inflamed, and burnt out.
What works better?
3–4 intentional strength sessions per week.
Paired with good sleep, proper nutrition, and recovery.
Because results don’t come from doing the most.
They come from doing the right things consistently.
Focus on the quality of your workouts, not the quantity.
Train with purpose.
Recover properly.
Get stronger as you age. 💪
If you want help structuring your training so it actually works with your life, not against it, send me STRONG.
Before every workout, I ask my clients these 3 questions: ⬇️
How’s your energy? How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?
And you should ask yourself the same.
Your body gives you feedback every single day, your job is to listen. Some days that means pushing, some days that means pulling back. Both are progress.📈
When you train in a way that meets you where you’re at, you stay consistent, avoid injury, and actually see results.

Sure, you can work out on your own.
Many people do.
But here’s what a coach actually gives you:
• Accountability — someone expects you to show up
• Structure — no wandering around the gym
• Fewer decisions — your program is already planned
• Consistency — you go because it’s scheduled, not because you “feel like it”
• Investment — when you’ve paid for it, you show up
• Progress — someone adjusts the plan when your body adapts
Motivation is unreliable.
Systems are not.
That’s why even coaches have coaches.
“They make it look easy.”
What you don’t see:
The months of progressive overload.
The consistency on the days I didn’t feel like it.
The structured program.
The check-ins.
The accountability.
The support.
When people say, “Ugh it’s so much work… does it really work?”
I always want to say this:
It’s not random workouts.
It’s not starting over every Monday.
It’s not guessing your way through Instagram exercises.
It’s a plan.
Inside my online program you get:
✔️ Structured strength training designed around YOUR body and goals
✔️ Progressive overload (so you actually change)
✔️ Core + pelvic floor work built in — not skipped
✔️ Nutrition guidance that fits real life
✔️ Accountability and real coaching, not just an app
And yes… it works.
When you stop dabbling and start committing.
If you’re tired of wondering whether it works…
Maybe it’s time to stop watching and start doing.
DM me “READY” and I’ll send you the details.
🚨 3 workouts a week is enough… IF they’re structured.
Here’s what most people get wrong:
❌ Random exercises
❌ No progression
❌ Avoiding compound lifts
❌ Doing whatever machine is free
❌ Hoping for the best
Here’s what works instead:
✔ 1 main compound lift per session (squat, hinge, press, pull)
✔ 2–3 accessory movements targeting weak areas
✔ Core or stability work
✔ Progressive overload (more weight, reps, or control over time)
✔ Rest days that actually allow recovery
You don’t need to live in the gym.
You need structure. 📈
Three focused sessions a week can:
💪 Build muscle
🏃 Improve running efficiency
🔥 Boost metabolism
🧠 Increase confidence
🦴 Reduce injury risk
Less chaos. More intention.
If you’re currently guessing your way through sessions and hoping it’s “good enough”…
that’s usually where a bit of guidance changes everything.
No pressure. Just structure 😌
Save this so your next 3 sessions actually move the needle.

Before you create the “perfect” routine, you have to create the one you’ll actually do.
You can have all the best information in the world, but unless you’re actually DOING something with it, you won’t get anywhere.
Yes, some health habits are better than others, but before you can do the BEST thing, you have to start doing SOMEthing.
One aspect of this is by picking a time of day to exercise that feels the easiest for you.
I am NOT a morning person at all so planning to workout every morning is a surefire way for me to feel like a failure.
Instead, I plan to workout after work with my kids. It’s still not ideal because little kids don’t always let you have the time and space you need for a workout, but that obstacle feels a lot smaller to me than waking up at 5am.
So find out what works best for you and keep it simple as you work on consistency!
You don’t need 90-minute workouts that leave you exhausted!
You don’t need to live at the gym.
You don’t need to rearrange your entire life to get results.
And you don’t need burn out!
You need a plan that respects your time — and still delivers. You need a plan that fits your real life!
@alignedstrong workouts are designed for:
✔ 30–45 minutes
✔ 3–4 days per week
✔ progressive strength that builds over time
✔️ AND sustainability!
Because real strength isn’t built by doing more.
It’s built by doing what you can repeat!
That means:
🎯 Training with intention.
🎯 Training with structure.
🎯 Training in a way that supports your energy — not drains it.
This is strength that fits:
• busy seasons
• working women
• moms
• career shifts
• evolving bodies
❌ No extremes.
❌ No burnout.
❌ No “starting over” every month.
Just a sustainable rhythm you can maintain — through every stage of life!

You don’t need more time.
You need training that works in the time you have!
As a coach, I can give you the tools.
The education.
The accountability.
The guidance.
The structure.
I can show you what works.
But I can’t force your hand.
And I can’t force your mind.
At some point it comes down to the quiet choices no one sees:
Saying no to the thing you know doesn’t serve you.
Choosing the protein when you’d rather skip the meal.
Getting the workout in when motivation is nowhere to be found.
Going to bed instead of scrolling.
And let me be real with you about something else…
This takes time.
Two week fixes aren’t a thing.
One month transformations aren’t real life.
Really learning your body…
Fueling it properly…
Building muscle…
Improving your metabolism…
Creating habits that last…
That takes months. Sometimes years.
Not because you’re failing.
Because real change is built slowly and intentionally.
Coaching works when you decide you’re ready to implement.
Not perfectly.
Not overnight.
But consistently.
Because the truth is…
The program doesn’t change your life.
Your choices do 💪
