Two ideas that could change the PPA
Right now, Monday - Friday at most tournaments lacks excitement. The real action doesn’t start until the final few days, and that’s something the tour may need to address.
Two ideas that could shake things up:
1. Bounties on top seeds — Cash prizes awarded to teams that upset the #1 seeds. This would create real incentives and early-round drama.
2. Changing balls each event — Similar to how tennis changes court surfaces, rotating ball sponsors could create strategic variety and shake up results.
Both ideas would introduce unpredictability — something every sport needs.
Takeaway: More variety and incentives could make early rounds far more exciting.
