Practice being bi-lingual with keiki 🗣️
Sometimes caregivers who are bi-lingual think speaking to keiki in two languages will slow down their speech development. That is not the case!
Bi-lingual keiki may say their first word a little later but still in the normal range of 8-15 months. They are NOT confused if they use two languages in the same sentence and it’s also normal for keiki to have a dominant or preference in the languages they use.
