Drinking boiled pineapple peels and cinnamon sticks creates a nutrient-rich, antioxidant-packed tea that aids digestion, reduces inflammation via bromelain, and helps regulate blood sugar levels. This combination can support immune health, boost metabolism, and provide anti-inflammatory benefits to help manage weight.
🫂🤗Improves Digestion and Reduces Bloating: Pineapple peels contain a high amount of bromelain, an enzyme known for breaking down proteins and soothing digestive issues.
✅Supports Metabolic Health: Cinnamon is well-known for helping to stabilize blood sugar levels, improve insulin sensitivity, and lower risks of cardiovascular disease.
✅Rich in Antioxidants: Both ingredients are packed with antioxidants that protect against oxidative stress and free radicals.
Anti-inflammatory and Immune ✅Boost: The combination is used to reduce inflammation in the body and may help ease congestion, often aiding in cold relief.
✅Weight Management Aid: Due to the metabolic boost and metabolism-regulating compounds like manganese, this tea is often used to support weight loss efforts.
How to Prepare👇🏽👇🏽
1.Clean: Thoroughly wash the pineapple peels and cut them into small pieces.
2.Boil: Combine the peels, 1-2 cinnamon sticks, and a few cloves (optional) in a pot of water.
3.Simmer: Allow the mixture to boil and then simmer for about 15–20 minutes to extract the nutrients.
4.🤗Serve: Strain the tea and drink it warm, with optional honey or lemon, or allow it to cool.

Pineapple tea has been one of my favorite little wellness rituals lately 🍍✨
Instead of tossing the pineapple scraps, I simmer the peels and core into a tea that’s packed with the good stuff 😋
Here’s how I make it 👇
🍍 Pineapple peels + core
🫚 ginger
🤎 Cinnamon
🧡 Turmeric + a pinch of black pepper (helps activate turmeric!)
🍯 honey to sweeten
✨ measure with your heart 😜
💧 bring it all to a boil and let it simmer as long as your to do list will allow!
🫙 then strain, cool, and chill.
That’s it. Refreshing and so good for you.
Why I love it:
🍍 Pineapple contains bromelain, which supports digestion and helps calm inflammation
✨ Ginger + turmeric are incredible for the immune system
🤎 Cinnamon helps balance blood sugar
🍯 honey is a natural sweetener and if you can find a good local honey, you get allergy and immunity support as well
🌿 And the whole combo is super soothing for the gut
I like to add my daily OTP glow shot to the chilled tea for a daily “power-up” drink — think polyphenols + hydroxytyrosol layered on top of all these natural benefits.
If super tasty and super impactful rituals are your 🍵, this one is for you.
