Happy Spring!
Yes, we are so happy spring is here!
However, that does not mean you need to do all the things right away.
Most of your plants are starting to adjust back to the longer day light. Possibly starting to see some new growth, yay!
Repotting:
Indoor plants DO NOT need to be repotted every year. In fact, most prefer to NOT be repotted for as long as they can.
Reasons you might need to repot: a large amount of roots are growing out of the bottom of the pot (or top for some reason).
When watering the plant, it is not absorbing water like it used to- the soil might be old and lost its water absorption qualities.
Or the plant seems to need to be watered a lot more frequently-this might be a sign of root bound (more roots than soil in the pot).
Fertilizing:
Just because it’s spring, doesn’t mean you need to jam plant food down your plant’s throats (soil). Just let them adjust to the new season. Find a good quality, organic, GENTLE fertilizer that won’t burn their roots. We try to stay away from liquid fertilizer.
Taking outside:
Definitely wait for this! The nights should be consistently above 55-60*. Guys, we just had snow this week.
There are a few tips and tricks for taking any indoor plants outside for the season. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Just slow down, and enjoy the warmer temps!
As always, we are here to help. Call, email, message on socials or pop in the shop!

It always feels so wrong,
stripping off healthy growth.
But the plant lover in me also knows that is the number one way to get more plants. 😆😁🌱✌️

your plant has been trying to tell you something - and it’s coming out the bottom of the pot! this is what root bound actually looks like. send this to someone who hasn’t repotted in 3 years. we have everything you need in store - soil, pots, and people who actually know plants.

Nothing quite like the feeling of getting new plants! Had to take advantage of today’s great weather to get outside and redo the raised bed 🤠🌿
