Paid leave to care for a sick pet? Italy will give you that. It just became the first country to let workers take up to 3 days of paid leave per year when their pet is seriously ill. The pet must be microchipped and registered, and the employee must provide a vet certificate.
Not a suggestion — a documented right. Other countries give parental leave. Bereavement leave. Mental health days. Italy just recognized that for millions of pet owners, watching a pet suffer is a genuine emotional crisis. Critics called it soft. But employees with strong emotional support miss fewer work days and perform better. That wasn’t sympathy. That was smart HR. The country that invented the Renaissance just redefined what it means to be a humane employer. (We post educational content daily.)
The hardest resignation letter to write isn’t the one where you outgrew your job. It’s the one where you still love it. But enough experiences have taught you that leadership would rather betray your trust than hold a toxic coworker accountable. 😶
Because leaving something you hate is clean. 👀 There is no grief in walking away from something that never deserved you. You close the chapter and you move forward and maybe you even feel relief before the door fully shuts behind you.
But this letter. 💔 This one sits in your drafts for weeks. Because every time you open it you have to confront the full weight of what you are actually leaving. Not the toxicity. Not the coworker. Not even the leadership that failed you.
The work you loved. 😔
And that love makes the betrayal so much sharper. 🎯 Because you gave this place everything. Not out of obligation. Out of genuine passion for what you were building. You believed in the mission. You believed in your team. You even believed in leadership long past the point the evidence was telling you not to.
And then came the moment that changed everything. 💀 Not one dramatic incident. Just enough experiences stacked on top of each other until the pattern became undeniable. Leadership knew. Leadership chose. Leadership looked at the harm being done to you and decided that confronting the person causing it was a price they were not willing to pay.
So you paid it instead. 😨 With your peace. Your health. Your trust. And eventually your presence in a place you never actually wanted to leave.
The resignation letter was never about the job. 🌱 It was about finally accepting that the people running it were never going to be worthy of your loyalty. 💪🏾
And walking away from something you loved 🧡 because the people leading it kept choosing wrong is one of the bravest and most heartbreaking things a person can do.
Follow for more. This page is for the ones who left not because they stopped caring but because they finally started caring about themselves. 💛

I disappeared for a minute… and for good reason.
Work got intense.
I lost my elderly dog.
My puppy went into heat and chose chaos.
I had surgery to remove cancer.
Not to mention all the political stuff happening…
So I took a break.
Because sometimes the most aligned thing you can do is step away and take care of your real life.
I’m finally getting my footing again… and I’m back.
Tell me in the comments what kind of content you’d like to see more of!! I’m ready to focus and make sure I’m doing this to maximize the benefit to others.

Nobody talks about this kind of grief enough. 😔
The grief of leaving a job you actually LOVED. 🖤
Not because you stopped caring. Not because you ran out of passion. Not because the work stopped meaning something to you. 😶
But because a few people made it impossible to stay. 😤
And that is a different kind of hurt. Because you are not just losing a job. You are losing the version of yourself that lit up when you talked about what you did. The one who could not wait to get started on a new project. The one who believed in the mission. 💛
You are grieving something that was actually good to you before other people got their hands on it. 😮💨
That is not a small thing. 😌
It is devastating to watch something you poured yourself into become unrecognizable because of toxic people, bad leadership, or a culture that protected the wrong ones. 💀
And the hardest part is knowing that YOU did not fail the job. The job failed you. 👀
You showed up. You cared. You gave it everything you had. And instead of that being celebrated it was taken advantage of, overlooked, or weaponized against you by people who never had half your heart for the work. 😔
Leaving does not mean you gave up. 🚫
Sometimes leaving is the bravest thing you can do. Sometimes walking away from something you love is the only way to love yourself more. ✨
Your passion did not die. It just deserves a better home. 🤍
And one day you are going to find a place that is actually worthy of everything you bring. 💛

When a coworker dies, the grief can feel unexpected and hard to make sense of. You might question why it’s affecting you so much, especially if your relationship mostly existed at work. But grief is not just about how close you were. It is about shared time, routines, and the role someone played in your everyday life.
Grieving a coworker or colleague is real. You saw them regularly, shared conversations, stress, and small moments that added up over time. When they are suddenly gone, it can leave an absence that feels confusing and difficult to explain to others.
This kind of workplace grief often goes unrecognized, which can make it feel even heavier. If you are feeling it, you are not overreacting. You are responding to a real loss.
Have compassion for yourself.

Not just financially.
But in your energy.
Your flexibility.
Your ability to choose how you spend your time.
I didn’t realise how much this mattered until I actually sat down and worked it out properly for myself.
And once I did, it changed how I saw my career completely.
That’s why I created the Income Shift Movement™ Workbook.
So if you’re sitting there trying to work out whether your current setup is sustainable long-term, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
