✨Marvelous, mood-boosting magic is what Shannon Danielle Taylor (@magicmakerdreamweaver) delivers via her brand new array of bespoke three dimensional hand-cut/layered miniature watercolor collages nestled inside vintage metal cosmetic compacts. Each of her enchanting, one-of-a-kind portals - which may summon a bit of nostalgia for the "Polly Pocket" toys that were popular during the 1980s and beyond - can easily fit inside the palm of a hand or be conveniently tucked into a pocket, making portable emotional rescue or daydream believing available 24-7.☆💫♥️ It seems fitting that the Director of Art and Restoration for Oakland, California's 73-year-old theme park "Children's Fairyland" is responsible for manifesting such delightful little treasures - don't you love it when the artists you admire come up with that **THING** that takes their creative output to the next level of wow?? Beginning Friday, April 21, you'll be able to see/purchase Shannon's perfectly petite dioramas via her @archenemyarts solo show, "Moon in My Pocket" - I think she'll be unveiling ELEVEN of them :) 👉 http://shannondtaylor.com/ 👉 https://www.instagram.com/magicmakerdreamweaver/ ••• #elizahleighartwriter #archenemyarts #shannondanielletaylor #magicmakerdreamweaver #analogcollage #analog #artreels #art #artist #artwork #artgallery #alternativeart #beautiful #collage #contemporaryart #contemporarypainting #creative #diorama #flowers #illustration #newcontemporary #newcontemporaryart #plants #painting #popsurrealism #watercolor #watercolors #watercolour #watercolours

The kind of face only a bartender could love. This is the first stage of this painting. It’s so fun to not be too critical and committed during this initial stage. I can have fun with developing the form with just using white paint. I enjoy having multiple paintings going on at the same time so I always have something to work on, especially with the drying time of oil paint. #lowbrowpopsurrealists #lowbrowart #oilpainting #popsurrealism

Here is the first color pass over the skin. Most layers of skin that I do usually are 3-4 layers. After this layer is dry, I would still need to come back in and add some adjustment layers and details. This painting is going to be part of my solo show, Bizarre Buddies, at @thinkspace_art opening November 16th. #lowbrow #lowbrowart #illustration #art #drawing #popsurrealism #artist #popart #artwork #sketch #instaart #contemporaryart #painting #weirdart #cartoon #lowbrowartist #artlovers #arte #artistsoninstagram #outsiderart #timelapsepainting #oilpainting #lowbrowpopsurrealists #surrealism #glaze #schoolphoto #artoftheday #lowbrowpopsurrealists #bearsofinstagram

Sharing a little oil paint blending work in progress video with you all because it is satisfying ☺️🎨 adding the oil paint layer to my paintings is always my fave part because I get to blend it super smooth! Also I’m wearing these gloves to not get the paint on my hands since I think it’s not good for you and I’m being especially cautious because I’m pregnant. But they do make my hands very sweaty not gonna lie 😬 #art #oilpainting #painting #workinprogressart #cuteart #popsurrealism #serendipitytheartist
