Quick spur of the moment golf trip to Punta Cana, meeting friends fir a couple days and golf fir a couple more. Played HardRock Golf Course, La Cana (My Favorite) and The Lakes Barcelo which was my 1st time playing and its a well designed course by PB Dye and I would say on the same level as Iberostar and just as enjoyable and perhaps more strategic with all of the Lakes you need to maneuver around. The Par 3's are the highlight of this course woth #9 being a tribute to his father as being an Island Green and having Pete Dye's trademark "railroad ties" surrounding this green. However on the back 9, this par 3, number 12, demands accuracy to a small green. I hit an 8 iron about 145yards to a back pin. Missed the long birdie putt....but fun fun fun. #puntacana #golf #golftravel #dominicanrepublic🇩🇴
