‼️Coming Pushkar for the first time, then here are 10 Mistake to avoid 🤣 1. Don’t visit only for a day trip 🌅 Most people come from Jaipur for a few hours and leave. Big mistake! Pushkar feels completely different after sunset when the ghats light up and the streets slow down. ✨ 2. Don’t trust every “free puja” invitation 🪔 Some people may offer free rituals near the lake and later ask for large donations. Be polite, but clear. 🙏 3. Don’t visit during Holi if you dislike crowds 🎨 Pushkar is famous for its Holi celebrations, but it gets insanely crowded. I visited in late May and loved the peaceful vibe, fewer crowds, and easy café hopping. ☀️ 4. Don’t expect all Instagram-famous cafés to be open in summer ☕ Many popular cafés shut down during the off-season (April–June). But places like La Manjaree & U Turn Café still offer stunning lake views. 🌊✨ 5. Don’t leave without exploring the local markets 🛍️ Boho dresses, silver jewelry, leather goods, handicrafts—Pushkar is literally a shopper’s paradise. 🤍 6. Don’t miss the food scene 😋 From malpua and kachori to falafel and rooftop cafés, Pushkar serves some seriously good food. 🍴✨ 7. Don’t skip the sunrise at Savitri Temple 🌄 Take the ropeway or hike up early. The panoramic views of Pushkar Lake and the desert are absolutely worth it. 💛 8. Don’t wear revealing clothes near temples 🙏 Pushkar is one of India’s holiest towns. Dress respectfully, especially around temples and ghats. 🕊️ 9. Don’t expect a party destination 🌙 Pushkar is all about slow travel, sunsets, spirituality, cafés, and soulful vibes. 🌅✨ 10. Don’t forget to bargain 🤝 Most market prices are negotiable.
