Coalescent Quartet loves how each part intertwines and comes together at the end of @emmamohalloran’s Night Music. It’s almost like the different parts….Coalesce (ayyyyy) into something new. Here’s a clip from our performance at BSU’s Pellegrini Festival of New Music. Check out the full piece on Coalescent Quartet’s NEW ALBUM, The Wall Between Us (Is Where We Meet), available on all your favorite platforms via @neumarecords. #saxophone #chambermusic #saxquartet #musicians #reels #composers #musictheory #woodwinds

Rat Dance/Joyful (Slowed) - Chess melody for instruments! This is the sound from the viral videos in the key of A. The Slowed version on Apple Music is in the key of Bb, let me know if you want that version! This the MELODY, not arrangements! I want everyone to learn the melody! My Flex Quartets will be full arrangements, but I want to see what songs would be popular! Thanks for the feedback on this stuff! Honestly, I love the traffic that’s coming through whenever I do make a mistake so I might make it a GAME to find the missed note HAHA. Have fun! #ratdance #joyful #ishowspeed #trend #crisscross #dance #ratomilton #dancechallenge #flute #violin #marimba #clarinet #trumpet #sax #piano #cello #saxophone #frenchhorn #horn #trombone #baritone #memes #meme #tuba #music #sheetmusic #band #fyp #band #flexquartet

Today I want to share a very special moment: bringing together all four quartets from UNT’s Undergraduate String Quartet Program. The purpose of this seminar is to enrich students’ understanding of the quartet repertoire within an environment of collaboration and mentorship, where seniors and freshmen alike can learn from each other under my artistic and pedagogical guidance. It is a real privilege to lead this program at UNT, and our first joint session left me truly inspired. I am confident it will continue to thrive and attract talented young musicians from around the world to our community. I look forward to sharing more updates as the program grows. If you are passionate about string quartet repertoire, I invite you to connect with me—at UNT you will find remarkable faculty and perhaps the chance to become part of one of our undergraduate quartets. Warm regards, Prof. Simon * * * * Simon.Gollodelgado@unt.edu * * * @untcollegeofmusic #music #violin #viola #cello #string #quartet 🎻

MDH Picks: “Take Five” is a jazz piece composed by Paul Desmond and performed by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. It was recorded in 1959 and released on the album “Time Out.” The piece is famous for its distinctive 5/4 time signature, which was unusual for jazz at the time. “Take Five” remains a classic, showcasing Desmond’s saxophone and Brubeck’s innovative piano work.

Rat Dance/Joyful - Chess melody for band instruments! Percussion friends, your music is on here. It's for marimba. You may choose any keyboard instrument you'd like. No, I'm not transcribing for timpani, snare drum, or any non-pitched instrument because I'm currently only writing melodies. Please share and let me know what you would love to play with friends! My main goal is to create Flex Quartets that you can play with any combination of instruments! #ratdance #joyful #ishowspeed #trend #crisscross #dance #ratomilton #dancechallenge #flute #oboe #marimba #clarinet #trumpet #sax #altosax #tenorsax #barisax #saxophone #frenchhorn #horn #trombone #baritone #bassoon #tuba #music #sheetmusic #band #fyp #band #flexquartet

Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 7 in F major, Op. 59, No. 1, part of the “Razumovsky” quartets, gained widespread recognition due to its poignant use in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. Its emotive second movement, the Adagio molto e mesto, underscores the series’ intense war scenes, enhancing their emotional depth and resonance with audiences.
