This screenshot showcases a "lost in translation" moment between a user and an AI, resulting in a surreal and unintentionally dark piece of flash fiction. The humor comes from the massive gap between the user’s likely intent and the AI’s literal, bizarre interpretation.
The Misunderstanding
The Request: The user asks for a "911 fic." In modern fan culture, 9-1-1 is a popular procedural TV drama about first responders. The user was almost certainly looking for a fan-fiction story about the characters from that show.
The AI's Interpretation: Instead of the TV show, the AI interpreted "911" as the historical event of September 11th. However, rather than writing a serious narrative, it produced a "crack-fic"—a style of writing that is intentionally nonsensical, low-effort, and absurd.
The "Script" Breakdown
The Dialogue: The personification of the plane and the towers ("let’s kiss," "is this some kind of 911") uses a repetitive, meme-like structure often found in "I forced a bot to watch 1,000 hours of..." parodies.
The Pop Culture Tie-in: The inclusion of Gerard Way (lead singer of My Chemical Romance) is a deep-cut reference to band lore. It is a well-known fact among fans that Gerard Way witnessed the events of 9/11, which directly inspired him to start the band. The AI’s line—"is this some kind of my chemical romance"—bluntly forces this connection in the most ridiculous way possible.
