The Abstract Condition - a group exhibition @art.firepit North Greenwich, London. Right next to the O2. #SE10 One of my paintings, I Don't Want To Act Like There's Tomorrow #7, will be on display. 27th March - 27th June 2026 16th April - Opening night The Abstract Condition brings together a carefully curated collection of original works exploring the many possibilities of abstraction. Featuring artists connected to Firepit’s growing creative community — from emerging voices to more established practitioners — the exhibition presents a wide range of approaches to colour, form, texture and process. Some works are bold and immediate, others quieter and more contemplative. Together they create a space where viewers can spend time with the work, allowing different meanings, emotions and interpretations to emerge. At Firepit, exhibitions are about more than simply showing work on a wall. They are about creating a shared space where artists, ideas and audiences come together. The Abstract Condition reflects that spirit — a gathering of different practices and perspectives, united by the freedom and openness that abstraction allows. The pillar was the answer to a question about how I felt about a certain aspect of my life. So it’s a representation of decaying, old, forgotten, left to rot. There is found materials, it is almost craggy, like it’s been around for ages and it’s rough around the edges. It kind of evokes ivy or an overgrown mess of an ancient, dilapidated, forgotten about, pillar. How has this been forgotten and what can I do to pay more attention to it? An international fair dedicated to contemporary craft and design, it brings together galleries, collectives and individual artists working across textiles, ceramics, metal, glass and mixed media. There’s a strong emphasis on material experimentation and process, with works that move between function, sculpture and installation. If you’re interested in how craft is evolving within a contemporary context, it’s worth spending time with. Tickets are available online.
