Catch an idea of how to spend the weekend if you want new experiences❗️sos❗️
Your salvation is the Ruskeala Express, a stylized retro train that runs in the Republic of Karelia (Russia)between the city of Sortavala and the main attraction of the Northern Ladoga Region, the Ruskeala Mountain Park, where marble used to be mined😍
You can also get to Sortavala by retro train, to which several new retro wagons and a steam locomotive are subsequently attached upon arrival at Sortavala station. 🔥
The last regular steam-powered passenger train ran in the late 70s of the XX century🚂
The Ruskeala Express is the first train with a steam locomotive since that time, which began running for tourist purposes in 2019.
Also, you can get to Sortavala station by car, and then take a retro train, then it will take only an hour to get to the mountain park by train👌🏻
And now the most important thing is that not all trains have a royal dining car with interiors from the beginning of the XX century❗️
It is present on trains: 921/922, which is docked with the Lastochka 821 high-speed train (St. Petersburg-Sortavala) and 923/924 (which runs on Saturdays and holidays).
The 925/926 train, which is docked with the Moscow train, has a red Finnish-style restaurant car at the junction in Sortavala, which is also interesting, but of course Tsarsky is a must on this trip 👌🏻
Therefore, pay attention to the train numbers when booking ❗️
Of course, you need to book places in advance👌🏻
The cost of tickets varies from 500 rubles to 9000 rubles for a VIP compartment .Take the retro train from Sortavala to Ruskeala.
If you are traveling from Moscow or St. Petersburg, add another ticket to Sortavala itself🤌
Have you already traveled on such a train?😍
