Mohanlal and Revathi shared one of the most memorable on-screen pairings in Devasuram (1993), directed by I. V. Sasi and written by Ranjith. Mohanlal's portrayal of Mangalassery Neelakandan, a proud and impulsive feudal lord, is perfectly balanced by Revathi's graceful performance as Bhanumathi, a talented classical dancer. Their contrasting personalities create a compelling relationship that evolves from conflict and misunderstanding into mutual respect and deep emotional connection.
What makes the Mohanlal–Revathi combination so special is the emotional depth they bring to their characters. Mohanlal brilliantly captures Neelakandan's transformation from arrogance to humility, while Revathi portrays Bhanumathi with remarkable dignity, strength, and compassion. Instead of relying on dramatic romance alone, their chemistry is built through subtle expressions, meaningful conversations, and powerful performances that remain timeless.

Chinna Pasanga Naanga(1992) is a Tamil rural family drama directed by Raj Kapoor and starring Murali, Revathi, and Saradha Preetha.
Muthukkalai is a kind-hearted young man who returns to his village after completing his education. The village is controlled by a powerful and strict panchayat leader named Ambalam, who believes strongly in caste pride and old traditions. Because of past family conflicts, Ambalam has become harsh and unforgiving.
Ambalam's niece, Poochandu, falls in love with Muthukkalai. At the same time, Muthukkalai's cousin Marikozhundhu also has feelings for him, creating an emotional love triangle.
One day, a devastating storm destroys many homes in the village. The homeless villagers seek shelter in the village temple, but Ambalam refuses to allow them inside. Moved by compassion, Poochandu's mother breaks open the temple doors so the villagers can stay safely.
Enraged by this act, Ambalam punishes her publicly and orders that Poochandu be dedicated as a temple servant according to an outdated custom. Muthukkalai courageously stands against this injustice. In front of the entire village, he marries Poochandu, challenging Ambalam's authority and the unfair traditions that divide the people.
In the end, truth and justice prevail. Ambalam realizes the consequences of his actions, the villagers unite, and Muthukkalai and Poochandu begin a new life together, bringing hope and harmony back to the village.
