La illah ila Allah. The greatest blessing God has ever given me is the gift of becoming a muslim. Struggling for years to get answers to my theological questions and finally finding them through Islam, Alhamdulillah.
I’m so thankful to have been guided, awakened, and loved by Allah.
During Ramadan it reminds to reflect on how being guided is the greatest gift Allah could ever give His servant. And it’s a dua we should continually make, to stay guided.
The first photo is me at my Catholic elementary school, just told to believe without proof vs. me at 30 living a life with purpose for Allah because Islam answered all the questions I ever had about God with proof 🤍

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) only changed names that had associations with polytheism, negative meanings, or inappropriate connotations. I provide examples of names that should be changed (like those of gods or war criminals) and names that are perfectly acceptable to keep.

Stop confusing culture with Islam. They are not the same.
One of the biggest misconceptions I see is people thinking Islam comes with a specific culture. The clothes. The names. The appearance. But much of that has nothing to do with Islam itself. As long as you are modest and within the boundaries, Islam does not force you into a cultural mould.
You do not need to change your name unless it contradicts Islam. You do not need to dress like a specific group of people. Islam is simple. It is natural. It aligns with who you already are at your core. Strip away the cultural noise, and you will see Islam for what it truly is.
