I believe during our lives we go through different stages- a bit like when we move house, and when we change direction our friendship circles can change and that’s okay, so try not to worry about losing friends when you stop drinking, if they don’t support you - they were just drinking buddies. 🙏 📸 @richroll

If you’re going to talk about Movement & Mobility it’s important to agree upon the definitions of those words. Here at The Ready State we have a simple definition for mobility: Access to your native range of motion AND control over that native range of motion. This served as a foundation of our recent conversation with @richroll as part of his summer Masterclass on Movement & Mobility, which you can listen to wherever you listen to podcasts. We dove into all things movement & mobility – the importance of a mobility practice as you age, pushing back against the sedentary, tech-heavy pressures of modern society, sneaking more movement into the day. Huge gratitude for the chance to come onto the show and share experiences on these fundamentals of the human condition. #builttomove #10essentialhabits #livefully #movefreely #durablehumans #infinitehumans #thereadystate #richroll #richrollpodcast
You don’t have a “Monkey Mind” in meditation. This has become a controversial statement because most people have an incomplete understanding of how meditation works. If anything, you have a monkey BODY—meaning, a body that has been accumulating stress year in and out, with no reliable outlet for it. So when you start meditating, you give your body an outlet for decades of old, accumulated stress to be released. And a classic symptom of stress release is a busy mind. So the next time you experience lots of thoughts and emotions in meditation, it’s not because you’re doing something wrong. You’re actually doing it right. This clip was from my 2018 interview on the @richroll podcast. #meditation #lightwatkins #lightwatkinsmeditation #spiritualminimalism #travellight #richrollpodcast #richroll
