“To do what nobody else will do, in a way that nobody else can, in spite of all we go through, is to be a nurse.” —Rawsi Williams, JD, BSN, RN, PhD 5 semesters to BSN and the first year as a nurse. I opened the syllabus of my two classes today...nervous, is an understatement. Thoughts that crossed my mind: ⚫️ How can I do this? ⚫️ This is a lot! ⚫️ How will I balance four kids? ⚫️ Did I take on too much? ⚫️ That is a lot of papers. The answers to all of it will be I'll take it as it comes and course correct. Systems are there for framework, but my adaptability is what will dictate success. My first year working as a nurse. My first year intentionally staying up past 10 PM! Night Shift, middle school, second year of high school… Age 47… A lot of thoughts are running through my mind! I don't have all the answers, and I don't know that I ever will! But I know that I'm gonna create the environment for myself and my family to succeed! I hope you join me here! I'm going to share it all! Ready for all the ups and downs! One of the biggest compliments I received last year wasn’t a trophy or a title… it was a moment. 💫 Walking across that stage to collect my RN–BSN, someone looked at me and said, “You carry yourself like you’ve already arrived.” And in that moment, I realized—it wasn’t just about the degree. It was about the years of sacrifice, the nights I almost quit, the faith I held onto, and the confidence I grew into along the way. That walk wasn’t just a graduation. It was a confirmation. A reminder that when you do the work, believe in yourself, and stay aligned— your energy speaks before you ever say a word. ✨ To anyone still in the process: keep going. Busy is sort of an understatement for 2025! 🤯 We’ve barely had a chance to reflect on the year YET but what we do know is that it was unlike any other so far. We made a lot of small changes that resulted in a lot of growth - and it is soo exciting to see and experience! 🥹 We are all endlessly grateful for your love and support and we literally will never stop saying that!!
